We're Back in the Saddle Again!

We are back in the Land of Quad and just finished Day # 2 of the 25 days we will be here this month!
The day before we left home I had my yearly check up and was given the all clear signal.
I have had nothing contagious - 'just' allergies!
Being down here in South Texas they may be a bit worse than normal.
The 10 days of rest certainly helped me to feel better and now we are back in the thick of things!

The 'Thick' being the rice cereal the quads are getting every morning at 11:00 am!
They are so much fun to watch as they experience this NEW taste and texture sensation!

They get rice cereal in their last bottle of the day but the morning session is SPOON feeding time!

Kailey is in a real good mood once her tummy is full!

Granddad is a natural at this kind of thing!

He's pretty good at the bottles, too!!
This pic is from yesterday.
We came right in and picked up where we left off!

He and Harrison check the stock market news every morning.

All the babies GREW while we were gone!
Logan sits in the 'Exersaucer' and checks out all the cool lights and noises!

I love this little girl!!
Amber works with each baby every day as they learn to do more and more!

Kailey Love LOVES her mirror!

So many things to DO!!!!

Louis Dean has way too much fun!!

Logan is looking rather serious!

Harrison is so laid back - he just props his head on his hand and goes right to sleep!

Trystan slides down and gets all comfy in her boppy for HER nap!

Little Logan had one crib to herself this afternoon - at least for awhile!

Kailey had the other one.

I missed these munchkins while we were gone.

Tomorrow I will start sewing a denim play mat (quilt) for them. It will be their Christmas present.

I have been cutting denim squares from old jeans for weeks now!
FOUR babies need a pretty BIG play mat!!!
I will also given them some brown paper.
Today was bath day and I weighed and measured each baby.
I put some brown paper on the bed and marked the head and foot points as I have seen the pediatrician do.
The babies LOVED the crackle of the paper as I put them down on it.
You could see their eyes get real big as they heard the crackle and crunch!
By Christmas the babies will be at the perfect age to entertain themselves with paper, boxes and bows!
Who needs PRESENTS??

  1. It makes me happy to hear that you got a clean bill of health, Linda. Our allergies have been pretty bad here, too, with all of the mold and flying dead leaves. You need all the energy you can get to make it 25 days at your home away from home!

I love how LD loves these babies. The pictures of him with them make me smile!

Can't wait to see the play mat you are making...do we get a sneak peek?

    XO,
    Jane

  6. Hi Linda,
Although I've been out of circulation for so long, I have been catching up on all your wonderful news. I am so happy all went well and you now have those wonderful children to love. And I must admit to be slightly jealous of your "second home" I just love caravans and yours is so lovely. I just can't imagine anything nicer than having those two lovely homes and having two lovely lives too!!

  7. So glad it was just allergies -- although allergies can be pretty nasty. You seem well rested from your time away and ready to jump into things again. Can you imagine how big those quads will be by Christmas? It's going to be fun!

I can only imagine the fun it will be on Christmas mornings with those little ones.
How many squares did you have to cut for the quilt, and did you collect the material over time? Please keep us posted on its progress:)

  10. I can't believe they are already spoon feeding! Seems like just a month ago you was giving us NICU updates. Boy time sure does fly! They are all so darn adorable. I can't imagine how much you miss them when your gone.

Christmas is right around the corner isn't it? Good for you already figuring out presents. I haven't even given it a thought.

I love how Amber works with each one daily. I just wrote in yesterday's post that I thought I was going to start some Infant School with Annalee! That is what I'm calling it anyway since we call Axle's Tot school!

Can't wait for more baby updates. Have a blessed day my friend!
