Project Started!

If I can just get STARTED on something - it's as good as DONE!!
FINALLY! Today I actually STARTED the denim play mat for the quads!

The mat will be 50" wide and 75" long!
That's 15 rows of 10 squares.

I counted out 150 6 inch squares of denim - keeping them all to the same weight - more or less!
I used the sturdy denim jeans for this one!
It's going to see a LOT of use!
A small purse size pack of tissues is tucked in between the stacks of 10.
Good thing it comes 15 tissues to a pack.

I sewed 3 strips of denim before I left Quadville today!
Louis Dean came over to help with an afternoon feed but other than that he was 'Home Alone.'
That's always scary!

He was telling me 'ENOUGH!' with the instructions!
We had our coffee and reading time before I had to leave.

Small quarters to be sharing with a dog.........

.....and a cat......
as well as a 6' 1" guy!

I have discovered the secret to making up the queen size bed on a full size base in a small camper bedroom.
You GET IN THE BED!
You PULL ALL THE COVERS up and OVER your head!!
You try your best to crawl out the side without messing it up.
You carefully crawl down the end of the bed and throw the pillows back up.
Ta DA!!! You're DONE!!

While the picture was taken this morning.......
THIS is where I sit this evening writing my journal.
Louis Dean has cooked some hamburger to add to the Vodka Sauce and Penne Noodles we bought at Trader Joe's a week or so ago.
It smells like supper is ready!

Thanks so much for all your constant help, from BOTH of you!! We love yall and so do these quads!!

  3. Looks like you have made your camper so homey! It's nice to see pics of it. Having your pets with you help make it feel even more like home, I'm sure.

  6. Cant wait to see the finished playmat, would love updates on its progress.
Had to chuckle about your bed making,my son had the top bunk bed when young he always made his bed by pulling his blanket and spread up over his head,he of course couldnt get out the side so he would make his way off by crawling backwards to the ladder, making sweeping motions with his hands to make sure evertyhing was all nice and straight.
    Take care:)

  11. Your dog reminds me of that dog that was in the movie My Dog Skip. At least your cat is fit not like my friend's cat that is super fat.
