A preemie drawer......followed by four drawers FULL of newborn sizes!
One of which is devoted to BOY clothes!!
That's about right.....there ARE three girls and one boy!!
The beds are up and ready.......
There will be two to a bed for awhile. But good grief! The babies will be so little and the beds are MUCH larger than the confines of the womb! I'm sure they will do just fine!
The stack of Bimbos, Bumbos or Boppies!
I never remember which is called what!
I'm pretty sure this is a Boppy......
You may notice the absence of PINK!
It is a wonderful thing to be able to decorate in more neutral tones.
Back in 'my day'.......it was pink or blue. Period.
I like the restful greens Amber is using!
No more 'guest' room! This is a full fledged nursery now.
The glider was a gift from my oldest son and his wife.
All three of their children have been rocked in it!
Soon we will have four more!
Amber selected her cribs to match the glider.
It is such a good feeling to have the nursery 'done.'
Amber enjoys sitting in here and looking at the abundance of goodness in this room.
These vintage Dr. Seuss books date back to 1960's and Summer's childhood.
All four of my children have read and loved them.
Several have names and phone numbers written inside.
One is missing two pages.
They sit now on top of the chest - waiting for four more sets of little hands to open them up and enjoy!
The things they will see and the places they will go!!
The abundance of goodness has even spilled over!
The car seats and strollers wait out in the garage along with clean and sized baby clothes for when the preemie and newborn stages are past.
These babies will want for nothing for at least their entire first year!
Friends and family have been so kind and generous!
Amber has had a good day. She stays off her feet as much as possible.
Snowball loves to sit with her!
The housekeeper came this afternoon so all is clean and fresh smelling.
Amber's nurse arrived to give her the weekly injection.
I did the grocery shopping and errands.
Soon it will be time to start dinner. Mike will enjoy coming home to a clean house, a done nursery and a happy wife!
We have had a GOOD day!
I'm so pleased Amber and the little beauties are doing so well. They are four very lucky little ones to have so many people wishing and praying for them!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about the scan.
Enjoy your time with the family!
The nursery looks awesome. Great job on sorting and organizing ALL the clothes that are to come also. WOW. Amber needs a three car garage just for clothes and diapers. :-) She is VERY blessed to have YOU as her Mom. Luann
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful nursery! I love the darker wood that she is using. That glider is going to come in super handy. Looks like you all are getting as prepared as can be. Amber sure is lucky to have you by her side helping her through it all. I know she appreciates you so much :)
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she is resting well & in good spirits! I know bedrest must be so difficult. She's doing so great though.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this journey with you and her. I'm sending up prayers for her and those little ones all the time!
Wow, there sure is a lot of beautiful gifts and hand-me-downs in the nursery, this is fantastic! When are the babies due? It's fantastic to see Amber looking so happy, glad to hear that she's getting her rest.
ReplyDeleteAnd good for you for being there!
Cheers.

Wonderful... To be ready... Just wonderful...
ReplyDeleteAnd of course the babies will prefer to have another wee one in the same crib with them! Heavens, I can't imagine how scary it must feel, for any newborn, to be plunked down in such an OPEN world... After having lived it's whole life (so far) in the dark and warm confines of the womb.
Lots of love to you, my Dear. Lots and lots of love...

nonsense talked, but scarcely any wit." ~J.A.
Aw, I love the nursery that you and Amber have created for the babies. It's going to be one busy room. I think Organized is the key word with babies. Amber looks wonderful! I am so happy for you all.
ReplyDeleteHave a sweet week full of sweet moments, Elizabeth
Do you mean those were all given to your daughter? That is a gift from God. Phew. Sandie
ReplyDeleteLove the green! I wasn't so creative when Pam was born. Very plain vanilla. They didn't have much to choose from that I can remember. Nothing like now.
