Weekly Catch Up!

Here it is Sunday night and this week has slipped right past me,

The weather has been mild and I've opened the doors so the cats can wander in and out.

They stay pretty much in the back  yard.
With three regular litter boxes, Tabitha has been a good kitty.

Samantha is such a pretty girl!

Louis Dean does love his cats!

True love.

We had an incident this week.....

Louis Dean was trying to level a heavy three pieces of stone statuary when it fell over on him.
His right leg was wedged under the seriously heavy base when I went out to check on him.

The top piece....

.......the middle piece.
Louis Dean was able to tell me how to use a crow bar and leaverage the base with a stone.
This was harder than it sounds!

He wasn't seriously hurt even though he fell and cut his head above his eyebrow.
He looks pretty pitiful here.

I took this photo when I told him that I was going to tell Kailey he had hurt himeself!
Still has his sence of humor!

He fell on Monday and I thought he would be okay to stay alone while I went thrifting with Brenda.
I checked on him using the Ring camera and I spoke to him to let him know I would stop and pick him up to go to the grocery store. No cell phone for him and no landline but we still have a way to communicate.

We shopped two thrift stores but I left the second one with an empty buggy!
It happens every once in awhile.

I've been decorating my front porch with faux flowers to add some color.

So pretty!

Brenda found these Chico's jeans for me.

She also found the pair of boots I bought!
They will go perfect with the long cream duster a few weeks ago.

The next day Louis Dean was back out there moving the stones.

The season for salad is upon us and I am loving it!

Have you seen Remarkably Bright Creatures yet?
That was the movie Ilene and I watched last night and it was excellent!
So good I watched it again this morning.

Amber and Harrison stopped by this afternoon and I gave them a tour of the back yard.
They didn't want Louis Dean to move the top piece into position at the corner of the pond area so they did it themselves.

Win! WIN!!

Everyday things sure keep you on your toes, don't they?
Happy to see that Harrison and Amber came to your rescue. Kudos to that young man !!
Great treasures from Thrift and the gazebo looks great.
Love you my friend. Hugs and prayers.

So very thankful that LD wasn't hurt badly with that little accident. That could've been so much worse. Praise God! And I love seeing him with the cats! My husband is becoming a cat person, even if it is against his will! Blackie has chosen him as his person whether he likes it or not! LOL. He's growing on him, but we still put Blackie out at night. He's just too adventurous to be left alone in the house all night while we sleep. Oh, I'm so glad your kids came and helped with that heavy stone statue thing. It is so pretty. You are blessed to have young people near by to help you out! I know I don't know what we'd do w/o our younger folk around! It's so good to hear from you. Have a blessed and wonderful week!

So thankful that Louis Dean was not seriously injured. One thing that stands out to me about him is his infectious smile. He is always smiling and this brings such joy. Glad you all had help in getting the stone set up. Girl..you always find the BEST things at these thrift stores. I'm amazed at how many things can be found and how good they are. Your salad looks very refreshing...my kind of salad for sure. Wishing you both a good week ahead..

Oh my goodness, never a dull moment! I love how he loves those kitties, God was good to give us pets. I'm also glad he wasn't seriously injured. You have good thrift stores there! I'm heading out this fine morning myself, I get the senior discount, 25% off on Tuesdays! You have a good day!

Oh dear, Falls are so easy to do and so hard to recover from so many times. I so thankful Louis Dean's injury as minor. One nevers knows. It's what I dread about my dearest. He uses his cane in the house and his walker at nigh to the bathroom. So far no falls. I love seeing your yard and your thrifting..nice boots. I trust you had a nice Mother's Day, Think of you often and try to remember to keep you in my prayers. Love and Hugs.

Lindsa, That LD has to be working all the time !! Just can't help himself. I need to borrow him for about a week. LOL I can't seem to ever get caught up on chores. Started today and just stopped. Started watching TV and almost went to sleep. So I need to stay busy too. Hold each other tight for me. Love you both. Blessings to all, xoxo, Susie
