Carol Talbot Smith!
Congratulations!
I'm sorry to be so late in posting but this has been a crazy day!
My laptop died and I had to take it to Best Buy to see if it can be redeemed.
Jesse came over and worked on it and then advised me to take it back where I had purchased it for diagnostics.
Three of the four tires on my car showed low tire pressure and Amber came over to check that out and it was determined to be because of the cold weather.
I guess they weren't used to it but all is well now.
Then I took Louis Dean to the orthopedic doctor and we were in the waiting room for a solid two hours and that's when we were informed it would be at least 45 more minutes and then an hour after that for the appointment by which time it would be dark.
Instead of rescheduling, I will take Louis Dean to his January appointment with his primary care doctor.
We managed to do an errand or two and arrived home slightly after dark.
Louis Dean loaned me his computer so I could post this journal entry!
All is well that ends well!
Tomorrow I plan to mail off the Santa painting and buy my Christmas stamps....
if all goes well.

you have been so busy, i don't know how you do it/keep up!! congratulations to carol...she is one lucky girl. i am sure she will treasure the painting forever!! we have trouble with our tire also when it gets cold quickly!! love to both you and ld!!
Oh my goodness, what a run of bad luck. So I'm thinking Best Buy still has your computer?
Almost three hours is too long to wait for any appointment, seems to be common in all sectors now. Whether it be private, service, public sector, the corporation or government are no longer are willing to pay staff necessary for basic customer service, while a handful of management, admin, CEO's draw huge salaries for doing nothing.
So sorry you had to wait so long -- at such a busy time of year, especially. You have a lot on your plate, and I hope you are feeling ok. It is going to be a busy month for you, I am sure, and all of us, I guess. We are not planning much for Christmas, but it's okay. We are invited to stay with Ed and Kristi and the "kids"--- (now 18 and 21.) Goodness, your quads will be there before you know it! Time passes by so fast.
I'm thankful we have our children to help us when we need them, and us, when they need us.
I love the Santa painting, as always. I'm sure he has a story to tell about a " snowy evening in the woods" , as Robert Frost so delighted me with his poetry. I think he'd have loved your paintings, too. Take care! Love, Trudy
That was some day you had. I have the same problem with my tires when it gets cold.
Congratulations to Carol. I missed another one. One day I will win one of these amazing paintings. That is ridiculous for an appointment to be that long.
So sorry for the long wait at the doctor’s office/ I know it is frustrating for patients and staff as well. You’ve had a couple of “Monday’s” in one day! Praying today is less stressful for you. RHill, TX
It's a gorgeous painting and I'm sure it will bring her and her family joy each Christmas season. Such an amazing thing to do with one of your paintings. Belinda
Congratulations to Carol. He is a beautiful Santa. oh nooo on the laptop, hope they can fix it. I just bought a new Chromebook laptop during Amazon black Friday. its a 15 my little one is 11 inches and my eyes can't see it anymore. I would not have waited that long, Bob would have been livid. that's the reason he has a donothing doctor, he is fast because he does nothing
I would have left, too. Not everybody can stay most of a day like that. Goodness! Glad you got in your errands and home safe. :)
I know that Carol, the lucky winner of your Santa painting, must be thrilled to have won it! Sorry to read about the awful day you had, Linda, but so nice that you had such great helpers. Hope that either the laptop can be repaired or that maybe Santa will bring you a new one.
Linda, My old computer is like some sort of living dead thing. I can see some things and send some but it is running on windows 8. My days seem busier and crazier right when you need some peace. Hug your sweet LD for me. I love you guys. Blessings to all, xoxo, Susie
