A Day With Summer and Answers to Prayers!

Summer treated me for lunch at THE most wonderful salad place I have ever been!

I love that description!

Tea on Tap!! Imagine THAT!!

I drink a lot of tea but THIS plum cinnamon was a first for me!
It was delicious!

After lunch we went to Summer's doctor appointment.....the doctor who did her surgery.
I'll use her words to tell you the news.
From Summer's Facebook Post:

"Doctor/Surgeon is thinking it's possibly a muscular issue causing the pain in my back. We know it's not the spine as the MRI shows excellent repair to L4/L5. He suggest weight loss to help the back and core to be able to do their job. Will continue physical therapy and pain/muscle relaxers. Checking to see if bariatric will be covered. Dr. K referred me to Dr. Sina Matin, he did my gallbladder surgery about 15 years ago. Small world!"

This took the fear that she would be a cripple and invalid OFF the table!!!
That alone will help her heal!

To celebrate, I took her to get her nails cut. She didn't think she could sit through a pedicure -

but they talked her into it! I love this place! Lovely Nails on Beltline!
They were laughing and having fun with us as they worked.

I had stopped biting my nails - and started again - and stopped! Again!
I finally had enough nail growth to get a manicure!

I have 'elderly hands' all gnarled with arthritis - but I have NAILS!

Back home to get into a denim jumper and get to work with one last round of cleaning and decorating!

This time it was the gazebo getting her fall clothes on!
I am so thankful for a patient, understanding husband who knows that all this throwing up of garlands and scattering of leaves is actually therapy for me.

I love this!
No more decorating now until after our Beach Vacation!
Tomorrow I will clean and PACK!!!
We leave on Saturday!

I will close this evening's journal post with another HUGE answer to prayer!!!

From Deanie's message to the rest of us siblings!

The lady in ElPaso w/ HHS called me a few minutes ago. She said everything is in order. There is another person that needs to go over Medical Necessity. Which we all know mother has that.
Michelle told me that she believes that she will be able to call me on the 21st of August to tell me that mother is confirmed. 😃
GOD IS SO GOOD ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm thrilled for all of us! This lady was so nice to call & tell me that! She said she didn't want me to just wonder about it. I don't think they usually do that. But TLN & HHS were working together. I bet we sleep well tonight 😃

Thank you for the prayers!!
We are ALL so grateful!

  9. prayers going up for a confirmation soon on your mother. I can tell summer that my 41 pounds has not only helped my back but my knees and hips. I am glad to hear the spine is not the problem. it is very hard to lose weight and I can attest to that. each 10 pounds I lose, makes a big difference. glad to see your autumn is going up quickly

  11. Oh! That is such good news about Summer!! I am just thrilled that her spine has healed. Losing weight is so hard-but not impossible and I hope she can manage that if it will help with her pain level.

You have the hands of a person that has lived a good life and put those hands to work to help others and take care of your family. That is my one treat to myself. I go about every 3 weeks and get my nails done because it makes me feel good about myself.

I hope you have a blessed day and have a fun time at the beach. Love to you, my friend. xo Diana
