Making up the Bed and Other Wednesday Happenings

Making up the bed is THE hardest thing to do in this camper!
Getting in and out of it is not an easy feat either!
For some reason I cannot leave the bed unmade!
Even if I make it up right before I get in it at night - I just HAVE to do it!

It is Wednesday night. Louis Dean has a fire going out by the gazebo. I did a couple of loads of laundry today at Amber's.  It was about 6:00 when I got home and started putting things in order......and made up the bed!

We had a good day.

Louis Dean had the day off since April was there.
He has had a few days off in a row and will have even more since Mike's mom is coming in tonight.
He figured he better come over and do some baby holding!
He is a real 'Baby Whisperer' and can get any one of them to sleep when we can't!

The babies were cute today.
They are cute EVERY day!
The pack and plays were lowered.
Kailey pulled herself up last night holding on to the edge.
No longer will we put the boppies in there to feed.
We are kind of in transition with the feeding process but Amber will figure it out.
She continues to recover and I am so happy to see her look more like her normal self.
She has been through so much.
She has always been a force to be reckoned with!

Kailey enjoys the play station Aunt Summer gave them!
She is part acrobat!

Louis Dean has gone from the chair by the fire pit to the gazebo where he is playing his guitar.
I think that's my cue to come out and be his audience!
I am so grateful for this little camper and the comfort it affords us.
It's a good place to come back to at the end of the day.
I don't know how long we will be down here but now that we have it in good living order I do believe we will continue to use the camper and travel a bit.

  1. More fun adventures to look forward to...traveling in the camper. Have you tried thinking out of the box where making the bed is concerned? I'll let you ponder that one. =D

Oh my gosh...those quads are growing so fast that they got ahead of you. Now comes the time to rethink how all those processes are going to work now. It's all good!

  2. It must be a family thing...I can NOT sleep in an unmade bed. My sweet husband knows this and makes up the bed on Mondays when I leave first.
Your camper truly is a home away from home and I think you would really enjoy road trips, when time and growing babies allow. Yes I agree, beauty truly is in the eyes of the beholder. And you my dear sister, behold a lot of beauty!

  3. It's so nice that you are comfortable in the camper, you have made it a warm inviting home for you and LD. I had to laugh over making the bed...I am a stickler for that, too. Sometimes if the hubby gets in it after work for a half hour nap, I make it up again! I have to get into a MADE bed at night! lol!

  4. Annalee just got took out of her bassinet and put into her pack n play. She too was pulling at the sides of it and I was worried! She sleeps better in the pack n play anyway, she has much more room. I told Hubby that I bet she felt like she upgraded from an Efficiency Apartment to a Condo!

Glad Amber is still continuing to recover well. She is one tough cookie for sure :)

You are SO right about making the bed in a camper. When we camped in ours (prior to renting it out), I HATED to make the bed. Definitely a tough job. I think you all should travel more when you all get settled down and have time. My dream (after Hubby retires & the kids are grown) is to travel the country in a camper. Actually, I want a luxurious RV but a camper will do :)

  5. Kailey's outfit is absolutely adorable! I am amazed time and time again how devoted of a mom and grandma you are. The love you have for you family just shines. I just wish us quad moms could duplicate you!

  8. I had to chuckle when you get getting out of bed in the RV is a feat...I know what you mean. Down south our bed is a double and we each have about 10inches to walk on either side...:))

    1. Our bed is a double with a QUEEN mattress! This IS no walking on the sides! I have a small spot to stand on either side and the rest is covered with stacked blankets, baskets and shoes!

  9. Linda, Your LD is so calm looking, I think the babies sense it and relax. What beautiful grandparents you two are. My gosh those babies will be trying to get loose soon, the way they are growing. Enjoy all that wonderful love. xoxo,Susie
