Quad Pics, Names, and CORRECT Weights

This is the AWESOME 'Quad Father' holding his baby boy, Harrison.
Yesterday we listed some of the birth weights out of order.
That happens when FOUR babies are born with 2 minutes!!

Harrison was the longest and heaviest.
He weighed in at 3 lb 6 ox.
Born at 12:55 pm on 5/31/2012

Trystan (The Gatekeeper!) was born first and weighed in next to the heaviest!
Trystan : 2 lb 13 oz

Kailey was in the middle with weights......
2 lb 12 oz!
And she LOVES sleepy on her belly!

Logan was born last at 12:56 and weighed the least at 2 lb 6 oz.
Little but feisty! She is getting a little help breathing now but I just received news that she - tiniest one - is the ONLY one breathing room air on her own!!
Don't underestimate those little bitty ones!!

My sister, Deanie- she is my sister 3 years younger than me, burned the roads up getting here!
Mike's Mom wasn't far behind and then Summer(Daughter) and Leigh Ann (Daughter in law) came up!
Mark(Mike's brother) and Amanda rounded out the visitors for the first peeps at these tiny quads.

It was a very very very long day!
It was an absolutely lovely lovely lovely lovely day!

And we are about to have another one!!

The quads are doing well.......
Amber not so much. No complications as such. Just pain. I think she used up every bit of her bodies' resources to carry and birth these quads.

I am leaving LD at home WITH THE CAR! for a change.
Deanie and I are headed back to the hospital for the latest ACTION!!!
Part of which will be to start tearing down and taking home the things that have accumulated in the 2 months Amber has lived in that room!

I hope she can soon smell the sweet aroma of FREEDOM!!!!

Thanks for hanging in there with us through all this!!
YOU and your prayers and encouragement were HUGE supports for us!!!

  1. I'm so thrilled to see the four Bell babies. We'll still be praying for Amber and her recovery. I know she will be getting lots of TLC from the family. After two months in the hospital I'm sure her own bed will feel like heaven to her.

  2. Congratulations to you all again! This is such an incredible time for your family. It just grew X4!! Poor Amber. She has really suffered through all of this. I feel for her. I know how crummy you feel after birthing one baby, let alone 4! Her having had so much medication and bed rest has taken it's toll on her. I'm sure her body will take a little while to recover. I hope she's getting a chance to see her precious babies that she worked so hard to bring into the world though. Hate seeing them all "plugged" up, but know that gives them what they need. Thank goodness for modern technology! Enjoy this happy day with your family.

  9. I'm so thankful that everyone is doing well. And Logan she is a fiesty one.
Give Amber another 24 hours and hopefully she'll be a little better. Her tiny body is probably in shock after carrying all that weight and suddenly it's gone. I have faith that Amber won't be down much longer. Slow maybe but moving. Can't wait to meet the little Bells. Y'all have fun!

  10. Praying for Amber's comfort and reduced pain levels. All a part of the process, of course, but not much fun. That gal is amazing. I smile just to think of Amber's grit and determination.

The babies are all so beautiful! What an amazing group they are. Mike must be beside himself with joy and pride.

Now the rest of you keep your strength up, too. I consider you all the "Gatekeepers" now.

  21. Wonderful quad news.

And oh the Dear, Sweet Mommy.... Of course she is not dancing-a-jig as yet. What a TIME she has had. What a JOB, she has done. What a marathon workout, her body has had, bringing these precious babies through.

I so hope that loving visitors will let her REST!!!! They can look at the babies through the window... Ohhh and ahhhh and congratulate the Daddy, and Grand Parents, etc.

But....... PLEASE Linda, please be the strong GateKeeper for your Dear DAughter now. Make sure, she is allowed to rest.

This won't be easy, for someone as all-the-time-sweet as you. But... When loving family/friends don't realize how tired Amber is, well.... MAMA JUST HAS TO TELL 'EM. :-)

    Slowly, silently, now the moon
    Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
    Silver fruit upon silver trees...
