I LOVE the Country!!

Louis Dean got the windows loaded yesterday and he decided we could just bring them on down today. I was all for that!!!

We drove into Mart where I stopped at the Dollar Store to pick up a few things.....then we turned back to pick up one of the back roads to take us in to Dean's place.

This was at the beginning of the drive.....

and it was pretty scenery the entire way!

The wild flowers are blooming wildly!

Perfect weather!!!

Not too hot and not too cold. Just right!

Louis Dean was a happy camper to get these windows down to the ranch!

I loved the contrast of the blue sky and green fields.

There's just something special about being in the fresh air and  feel the slower pace of rural America.

I could get used to this!!

Isn't it pretty??

The air smells good and the birds were flitting all over the place.

This is our 'front yard!'

I love it!

Life is simple here.

I am so blessed to be able to step out of one world and into another!

We arrived in time to unload and then sit out on the deck to watch night fall.
The sunset is behind us....the stars were beginning to pop out in front of us.

Ahhhhh........

I'm here!!

  1. I think your sunset is my favorite picture! We live surrounded by this kind of country, and I just never take it for granted. Your green, blue, and beautiful wildflowers are beautiful. Plus very cool critters. Yes, you are both so blessed.

  3. Thanks for a short tour of some back roads of Texas. Should be beautiful weather for a few days in the country. I think you have some new chickens, or maybe it's ducks to meet. Say hi to the goats for me.

  6. Linda, You can see forever out there. I am hoping LD doesn't over do. Having a nice enclosed deck area is going to be so wonderful...no bugs. Have fun there. Blessings to all, love, xoxo, Susie
