San Antonio Sibling Trip! Day #2!!

We are having the BEST time here in San Antonio!!
We all slept so well last night - all four of us!!
I was the last one to wake up and that was at 8:00. The other 3 were in the adjoining room and were already having coffee.

Before I go on to Saturday's activities......
I want to share a video from Friday night that I think is just precious!

Thank you, Kathy, for encouraging me to do Youtube videos!

On to Saturday!!!

Lonnie drove us down to the parking close to the Riverwalk and the Alamo.

There was a serious line to get into the Alamo....

but the wait was well worth it!

Majestic....

and compelling.....

what sacrifices.....

It was Lonnie's first visit and we were all awed once again at the sacrifices made there.

I could not help myself!
I HAD to take a photo of this precious little boy with his arm so carelessly thrown across a canon that was a replica of one used on that fateful day in March 1836.....

We left the Alamo and saw this young bride riding a horse drawn carriage to the church for her wedding ceremony...

Absolutely a beautiful moment!

This beautiful horse is just standing there waiting for a rider!!!
What a wonderful way to see the sights of San Antonio!

My dear sister!!!

From the Alamo we went to The River Center Mall.

I found a tea shop and bought a sampler.

There were beautiful views all over the place!

We ate lunch at the Food Court at River Center.

Our next adventure was the River Boat Tour!

Nita is telling Deanie SOMETHING!!!
Just look at Lonnie!!!
He.is.adorable.
Really!!

The world's largest Margarita tank!!!

The riverboat cruise was amazing!
Our riverboat tour guide said, "Please! If in event of an emergency and you end up in the river - PLEASE!!! Save yourself!!! Just stand up and walk to the side! You can go up here and take a life jacket but PLEASE - don't take the plastic off! We haven't used these in over 40 years!!"

We saw such beautiful views of the landmarks!

Every curve of the river brought new sights....

From the river cruise we sought refreshments!!

Margaritaville!!! It's Jimmy Buffet's place!!

Margaritas all around!!! Except for Deanie!!!
Water and hold the lemon!!!

Volcano Nachos!!!
YUM!!! We took the leftovers back to the hotel and reheated they were like Frito Pie!!

Those were GOOD Margaritas!!!!

On the river walk......there are actually LEMON trees!!!
I found this amazing!

We dropped Lonnie off at the hotel and we three girls shopped the Goodwill which was really close to our hotel.

We all found some treasures!
These are mine!

There was an HEB Market close to our hotel and look what we found!!!

WINE!!!!

We had a lovely evening in our hotel room
Four 60+  year old siblings all enjoying life and one another!
We read, we had wine, we visited.......

Lonnie had a good day.....we ALL had a good day!

Cheers!!! Nita and I are are having a nice glass of wine in celebration of a wonderful day!!
AND we have two more to go!!

  1. I am so glad to be able to take this trip with you through blogdom. And you are very welcome about my idea of the youtube videos. I don't do a lot of videos, but when they are a little long, that is the way to go. You 60+ people sure are having a great time. Can't wait to see what you get up to tomorrow.
