It's always an accomplishment to rehang the den gallery wall with Santa paintings!
Monday evening I hauled them all out from behind the couch which is where they live for most of the year.
I meant to hang them yesterday but ran out of energy,
so I spent most of today cleaning, dusting and hanging the wall.
Louis Dean worked outside in the old storage building hauling and sorting stuff out of it.
He is vacating the premises!!! All of HIS stuff will be in the new one and I get my old one back to store my debris in!!
I'm excited about redeeming this storage area. This means I will no longer have to store fall in the upstairs attic here in the house! From now on I will able to get fall out all by myself! And put it up, as well. All the Christmas decorations are in the playhouse turned lawn house turned Christmas house. In other words, another outside storage building.
I love to decorate for the seasons and holidays and a good place to store things will make it all so much easier. I have taken down all of the Halloween themed pumpkin lights and such, but, in looking at this photo I spied the Skeleton Banjo Player still over there by the window. I know just exactly where I will lay him to rest until next year!
Today has been a good day.
This is amazing and spectacular! Kind of like a Santa museum! Did you hang the ones up high, too? The Quads will be so excited!
ReplyDeleteNot leaving the pumpkin/fall decor up until thanksgiving? I thought that was a rule, except in commercial businesses.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to see the Santa wall go up again. Gracious, this must be the third time for me. Doesn't seem like I've been reading your blog for three years. How big is your back yard? How many storage units do you have back there?
ReplyDeleteIt's a special day for many of us when you bring out those gorgeous Santa paintings. I love that you have a special convenient place to store them. Good for you!

Your art work is such fun to look at Linda. I know everyone must enjoy looking at each Santa painting. I am so looking forward to decorating for Christma, but want to enjoy the autumn season until Thanksgiving is over. It's so bittersweet! Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeletei LOVE to decorate as well but just lately, i have lost my decorating mojo. i use my son's bedroom for storage. chuck set up shelves in side the room itself and when you walk in, it looks like a big walk-in closet. it's wonderful. and because the house is big, too big, i still have a guest room.
ReplyDeleteyour santa wall is AMAZING!!!
ps...posting this comment was smooth as glass, it must have something to do with my computer. i was having trouble for weeks and today, nothing :)
Linda, If I could be a kid again....I would love to come visit your wonderful house during Christmas. It's so charming and cozy. Even on days that you call quiet...you and LD work a whole crew of men. :):) Blessings to you both, love you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteAt one time in my life I had a Santa collection which is now down to 4.. I thought I had a lot of Santas but it was nothing in comparison to your collection.. got a good laugh about swapping sheds with LD.. just so funny to me... I noticed you also have a basket collection in one of the photos...

ReplyDeleteLove the Santa wall. Glad you're getting an easy place to store your fall debris so that you can get to whenever you want. I hate stairs and attics. LOL
