More Adventures on the Ranch!

There's always something interesting to look at around here!

Kailey and Harrison hover around the window on the west and the camper door on the east, never knowing what they might see!

Aunt Sherry came riding up on the tractor to see if they wanted to go for a ride!
Did they WANT to???
Harrison got the first ride and it was awesome!!!

Miss Kailey was second and she was thrilled! I love her expression!

They added tractor riding to their lists of adventures this weekend!

We all put on our mud boots and headed off for more fun.

We have some SERIOUS mud down here!

First Harrison got stuck.....

I was laughing so hard! Then I went to help him and Kailey followed .....

and we ALL got stuck!!!
I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt!

See what I mean? SERIOUS mud!!

Just another day in the country!

Harrison had a little mud on his hands!

It has been so wonderful to see the sweet expressions on these kids' faces!!

They got to go in and meet Mr. and Mrs. Peacock.

Next we walked up to the big tank to do a little fishing!

Kailey caught a fish in less than a minute of throwing her hook in the water!

The fish took Harrison's bait three times but the fourth time was the charm!

Granddad was not to be outdone!!!

It's been a wonderful weekend full of first time experiences for - I started to say 'the quads' - but this is only HALF of the quad squad!! Trystan and Logan will get to come next month with us!
We have made several FaceTime visits with the parents and I am totally impressed with all this modern technology that's available these days.

We have had three bedtimes and two naps since we have been here and I know exactly how this mother owl feels!!!

We will be going home in the morning and I'm pretty sure Kailey and Harrison will have a LOT of things to talk about!!!

  1. I am sure that all four of you will sleep very well after all that excitement. That mud reminds me of what we called Gumbo when we lived in Northern Alberta. If you got into it you would never get out with your boots on!

  2. Love that owl picture. I can just imagine the two at home can hardly wait for these two to return. Mike and Amber better clear their calendar for tomorrow evening as these two are going to have a lot of tales to tell. Send Amber over to turn the sheets down so all you have to do is slide under those covers and sleep, sleep, sleep. It's been so much fun watching the expressions on these two little faces.

  4. I hate to tell you this Linda, but afternoon naps are probably coming to an end for the four year olds. Of course, when I keep my preschool grands I try to keep them awake in the afternoon so they will go to bed and sleep all through the night. Because heaven knows, we need our sleep if we want to keep up with all that energy!! You and LD were good sports to allow the grands to have some country time.

  5. Linda, I love seeing what the kids will see or do next. I think they are going to be talking about the "country" for a long time. Your grandchildren are truly blessed with grandparents like you and LD. Have a safe trip home. Blessings to all, xoxo, love you, Susie
