We woke up to a fog!
The birds didn't seem to mind, though.
I put the coffee on and then sat outside on the decking drinking in the country morning!!
The birds were singing and swooping and dancing in the sky!
The fog was lifting a little by the time I went back in the camper to tell Louis Dean the coffee was ready! We are enjoying our time away but I still like to touch base with family at home.
I had a phone call from Summer letting me know that a dear friend of mine had lost her husband.
Billy was an exceptional man. To know him was to love him and everyone did!
This is one of his beautiful daughters. He leaves behind his beloved wife and long time friend of mine, Annie. I am praising God that Billy is now in heaven rejoicing with the saints who have gone on before.
Shortly after Summer called I received this pretty photo from Amber.
I love how the quads have their arms around each other.
Every day comes with its shares of joys and sorrows.
Dean joined his dad and me for a visit in early afternoon.
I love to see the two of them together!!
I should take more pictures of them!!
I set out this afternoon to walk around other areas of the property.
This old gnarled oak tree has always been a favorite of mine.
I see the mistletoe up there and cringe since I know it will eventually kill a tree.
It is a deadly parasite.
I can always something interesting around here!
This bird nest is in the barn by the meadow.
Then I saw this bird nest out on a cart with a lot of bones around!
I'm not sure who these critters were when they were alive but they look pretty intimidating now!
I will have to ask Dean what these really are!! Or WERE!!
Lots of teeth and all the bones have been sitting in the sun long enough to be bleached white!
More teeth!
I can identify antlers!
This is a fun place to explore!
I walked all the way to the very back of the property! Or at least as far as I could go!
Not sure what made this track but I'm glad I was walking in the daylight!
We are ending our third evening and second full day down here in our camper on my step son's ranch. I have loved every minute!!
Music before bed is always a good thing!!
I'm holding Louis Dean just a bit closer to me tonight.......
Awwwww...such sweetness. Amen, Louis Dean! Sing it.
ReplyDeleteOh I know what you mean, Linda. I'm going to add my prayers to all those that will be prayed for your friend Annie. May she be comforted.
Now that darling Quad Squad would make anyone smile. Aren't they loving and good to each other and so obviously happy and content!
I love what Louis Dean is singing. One of my favorite hymns. Tell him I sang along with him and enjoyed every minute.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are having time to relax and enjoy yourself. The ranch is beautiful. I'd be careful walking around by myself though after seeing those footprints!
I'm so sorry about Annie's husband. Something to hang on to is the fact that all of you will see him again. The Quads are missing you two I'll bet! :) They are so adorable and seem to enjoy each other.
ReplyDeleteBe careful out there by yourself!
