My sister and her husband surprised us with their very first visit to our Sweet Country Camper this afternoon!!! We met them in Mart and I hopped in the car with them and we followed the big white truck down the country roads to the ranch.
I was so happy Nita and Mike finally got to meet Dean and Sherry!
Nita said she already felt like she knew them!
I fixed iced tea and we all sat around and had the nicest visit!
I showed them around the ranch and we took a nature walk down to the meadow.
Spring is probably the prettiest time of the year down here but once fall sets in - well, fall is MY favorite! Lucy and Rufus followed us around.
My sweet sister.
She loved meeting all the critters!
This is Buddy! He is a goat with an attitude!!
There was so much to see. Frogs were hopping and fish were jumping!
We walked around the big tank.
You can see our camper across the way.
There's lots to see in the country!
Now they have seen for themselves why I love it so down here!
The sky was so pretty today.
I just wish you could see the stars at night.
Sherry and Dean came down to visit this evening. Louis Dean and his son sat on our NEW DECK while Sherry and I stretched out on the picnic benches and gazed up at the star filled sky. I will long remember the night sounds and how peaceful it is out here.
It's been another good day in the country!
It sounds so wonderful at the ranch. I'm glad your sister and her husband were finally able to visit you there.
ReplyDeleteAlways a treat to show someone we love some of the other special places and people in our lives X
ReplyDeleteWe had a great time. Dean and Sherry are salt of the earth good people. The deck Louis Dean built is really nice, he can just do anything. The camper, you make anywhere you are a nice cozy place to be. I see why to love this place.

My sweet husband hopes it will be done by Christmas but I am thinking early next year but in time for Easter!! I think I am more realistic on time frames.lol

ReplyDeleteI think every day in the country is a good day!
ReplyDeleteIt make me wish that I had a place in the country where it is more quiet. To smell the fresh air and see all mother nature has to offer. Have a wonderful time and I have enjoyed catching up with you. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend shirley
ReplyDeleteOh Linda...how fun to have Nita and Mike see in person what you've shared with then in pictures. Love all your critters, especially the goat with the attitude. HaHa. We just got back from a quick trip up North for a Memorial Service that Don officiated. Sending love and prayers.

ReplyDeleteWe ran up to the farm this weekend and found the perfect sitting spot under the oak trees just down from the barn. David is picking up a picnic table today maybe.
