I knew when I woke up this morning that I HAD to get my hair cut!!
I couldn't stand it another MINUTE longer than I had to!
Louis Dean slept later than I, so I did my exercises and morning housework before he even got out of bed! We had our coffee and reading together and then I was running out the door to get to the salon!
My sweet stylist made everything right! I wore a hat because I did not even want to deal with that mop one more time so I wore it after she cut it as well. It.is.short. It.will.grow. OR NOT!
I did a few more errands before picking up my partner in crime - aka Ruth Ann - and we hit up all 3 of our favorite thrift stores this afternoon - in the 102 degree HEAT!
Not a BUMPER crop of stuff but still some good finds!
I HAD to get this sign - and I really did just rescue some wine!
We are always adding bird houses around here.
This sign will hang on the outside wall by the upper deck.
A cork basket? Of course!!
This makes the third little tray with legs. Now I just need one more!
Pumpkin Spices candles - $0.65 for the bag full!
A little princess dress for a little princess to wear to the High Tea tomorrow afternoon!
I thought this was clever! Just $0.95....
A Ralph Lauren white tee.....
My fabric welcome sign was just $0.75!
Louis Dean even liked this wall sconce that was made from a glass platter.
It was wired for a light but I'm using it for a candle.
Sweet!
I picked up this black board for $2.00.
And THIS blackboard was just $2.00!
Ruth Ann and I had fun and I dropped her off and then hurried home to show all my treasures where they will live. As soon as I get things, I clean them up and give them a home.
By the way, I dropped off 3 grocery bags full at Goodwill this afternoon.
Sherry and Ruth Ann brought some delicious Mexican food for our meal tonight!
The den table was set so we all gathered around it and dug right in.
No pics since our thoughts were on EATING!!
We wrapped up our Old World Santas tonight.
These two are brothers!
You can't paint each one exactly like you did the others but you can tell they are at least relatives!
After we cleaned up art, Sherry and her sister, Ruth Ann and I all moved things out of the dining room and put down the extra rug Louis Dean bought for the deck - which it turned out we didn't need!
Then we set the table for tomorrow afternoon's Tea Party using the tea set my step son gave me last month.
I really like the rug in here!
Win! WIN!!
While we did art inside, Louis Dean and I had put some chickens on to cook outside!
Pretty Maddie! I think she could smell that chicken!!
The reason we were cooking tonight is that we will be celebrating my youngest son's birthday tomorrow. He turned 27 today!! This picture was taken 5 years ago!
Since tomorrow is going to be such a big day - Quad Day PLUS my sister and mother are coming - AND we have the special birthday dinner tomorrow night - I have a LOT to do!!!
And I'm going to get busy and DO it!!! Just as soon as I wake up in the morning!!!
Goodnight, Folks!!!
Hope YOUR Tuesday was as good as ours!
