A Happy, Happy Tuesday!!

There's a comfort to my morning rituals of preparing coffee for the morning and infused water and herbal tea for the afternoon. Today's choices - organic Red Velvet Caffeine free tea, lemon balm and orange infused water and pecan coffee! The day was off to a great start!

I worked as fast as I could to finish up the dining room before I took off for the movies.

I get so excited about the changing seasons. I KNOW this is July and September 1st is till 55 days away but I am 'cleaning the palate' in preparation - so to speak!

Nearly all the spring/summer decorations are gone and I used a wine themed setting for the dining room table.

I bought paper plates at Hobby Lobby yesterday and I like the way they look!

I have cleared out a good bit of debris. So much so that you can SEE the surface of the buffet here!

This cupboard always has a wine theme going on.

As I cleaned and spruced things up, I lingered over some of the photo memories on the shelves.

Noon soon came and I rushed out the door to pick Ruth Ann up and head to the Starplex.

We had a BALL watching this movie! Laugh!!!! Oh, boy, did we LAUGH!!!

A short drive down Beltline and we were hauling treasures out of Goodwill!!!

Here's what I got!

A cool table runner, candles, and 'debris!'

An embroidered tablecloth with six matching napkins, more candles and 2 Susan Winget Rooster plates for $2.99 each!

LOVE the sunflowers! AND the pine cone tree AND the ceramic wine holder - which now holds the sunflowers! Win! WIN!!!

I couldn't resist this fun green purse and a Liz Claiborne outfit and comfy cargo pants.

A wreath for the formerly wreath less front door!

AH, debris!!!!
The metal rimmed basket may go to the ranch with us.

I could NOT leave this bird cage! It's in our bedroom right now - still floating around the room looking for a place to 'live.'

This 'plant' is now part of the scenery around the back pond!

Tuesday has many activities - art came next!

Still one more session on this Santa to add all the details. I worked on one eye and forgot the other!
I am painting two of these Santas and both will be auctioned - one for my sister's grandson's school fundraiser and the other for our family reunion in October.

I think we have chosen the Santa we want to paint for 2015 and he looks a lot like Louis Dean!!!
Speaking of Louis Dean.......he is feeling better as I write this tonight but he's had a rough day.
Seems he has recovered well from his surgery but now is suffering from an allergy induced asthma attack. He is really having a tough time.

Here are two more photos I meant to include in last night's journal entry......

I just love how you can SEE the personalities in this photo!!!

These two have been fiercely loyal to each other over the years!

I missed my 'deadline' of midnight to publish this but not by much!!!

It's been such a good day!
Now I'm off to water the flowers and such in the front yard - and then to BED!!!

  2. Linda, I think you had a full day for sure. I have to mix a couple brand of coffee to achieve the flavor we like. It's hard for me to drink coffee that is everyday tasting. LOL...have to have some luxury somewhere girl. Love all those goodies you bought. I'll have to show what I got at goodwill yesterday. Ted got a bunch of candles to make his fire starters. LOL. I am glad you and Ruth Ann get together and enjoy movies and fun times. I miss my best friend. Please keep an eye on LD...I hate that he is not feeling like himself. Blessings to you both, love you guys, Susie

  9. You are a decorating force to be reckoned with. I am in awe. Wish it were possible to absorb some of your energy just by visiting here. So glad that Louis Dean knows what's going on and is feeling better. (Maybe I'll be back to see how it went with the Quads in a few hours.)
