We still plan to head down to the ranch in the morning but it most certainly will NOT be at 4 am as Louis Dean was hoping!!
We spent the entire day packing and loading the camper for occupancy and that nearly empty truck is now FULL!!! We really do take a LOT with us when we travel!
One of MY last projects was fashioning a curtain for that door where the morning sun comes in so brightly it blinds me! Not to mention the HEAT inside a camper from it!
I took an old skirt and slit it up the side, clipped on the ring tabs and bought a $1 curtain rod!
Win! WIN!!
The thing I dread the most is getting the slide OUT (extra room) to slide IN!!!
Sure enough.....it didn't! At least not ALL the way!!!
Louis Dean was so tired we just gave up and plan to tackle it first thing in the morning.
We quit in time to sit with a glass of wine and my sweet husband 'sang me some songs!'
At least he was still laughing as we altered our plans.
I am NOT a fan of early mornings so this was fine by me!!
We sat out on the driveway long enough to watch the moon come up.
Hopefully by this time tomorrow night we will be watching it from our camping spot on his son's ranch!
Off to a fun and exciting adventure! I hope you have loads of fun. LOVE your curtains from a skirt!
ReplyDeleteI also love your curtains, Linda. I hope you have a fun and safe time!
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! The curtain is adorable...was a cute skirt too. Can't wait to hear all about your new adventure.
ReplyDeleteIt's about 6 am , only 5 am there so I'm hoping that you're both still sleeping well. I think the best departure is about 9 or it always seems so to me. That way, the folks heading for work have already arrived and there is always a nice breakfast spot open. Have a blast down there! Praying that the gizmo that slides behaves itself today. Happy trails...
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip. I'm not a fan of early morning either. Leaving at 8 or 9 is much better in my opinion. I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing time at the ranch.
ReplyDeleteWell Linda...you did it again! I would NEVER have thought of using a skirt for a curtain, but honey...it works! So clever! Cute too! Have a marvelous time and I look forward to tagging along on your ranch adventures! Lovely pic of the moon!! Big hugs!!

ReplyDeleteGood luck with your trip, Linda! Cheers from Carole's chatter
ReplyDeleteYou have more well deserved fun than about anyone I know of. And good for you and Louis Dean! Travel safely and have a good time.
ReplyDeleteThey can have their early morning roll outs but as long as I can sleep once in the car I'm good.
