I feel all 'in between' these days. It's a limbo kind of feeling.
This morning I went to the doctor and, while I am not WELL yet, neither am I as sick as I have been.
I'm 'in between!' My doctor diagnosed me with acute sinusitis and I am now on antibiotics and Mucinex DM. Hopefully I will feel better soon. The good news is that she said as long as I cover my cough and wash my hands, I am not contagious.
I had the prescription filled there at the pharmacy which is connected to the hospital. I so did NOT feel like driving out to Sam's! The directions stated, "Take with food." As I was just about to pass Casa Tacos on my way home, like a good patient, I swung the car around and parked!
The Taco Salad hit the spot and I bought three Tacos to bring home to Louis Dean. Win! WIN!!
Since I had called the doctor's office as soon as I woke up this morning - which was NOT early, believe me! - AND they said to come RIGHT IN - AND I had filled up on that Taco Salad - of COURSE I came in and went right back to BED!
Trust me, I have been doing a lot of resting lately!
I should be feeling fit as a fiddle any minute now!
When I decided to actually go to the doctor this morning, I pulled out my favorite go to outfit:
black pants, black SAS shoes, black Chico knit top, classy long black sweater and a long animal print scarf. No pic of it today but I intend to wear this same outfit tomorrow. I LOVE it when the day's wardrobe is laid out and waiting! Long ago I used to hang an entire week of clothes on the rod on my bedroom door that opens to the patio. One winter day the clothes proved to be so heavy that the rod bent! Now I just go with a thought about the day and what is easy to find!

Our house is in that 'in between' stage as well.
It looks rather empty after the abundance of all my fall decorations and then the festive colors of Christmas! Those are just memories now.
If I were to describe February in Texas the one word that comes to mind is BROWN!
The grass is brown, the trees are bare, showing only their brown limbs.
I am not ready for the full thrust of SPRING so as I 'dressed' the den tonight in her fresh wardrobe.....
I went with BROWN!
I actually love earth tones!
The candles were lit and the room smells all clean!
Yes, I can wait a few more weeks before I unpack all the fresh colors of SPRING!
If I lived up north, I expect I would continue with the WHITE color scheme!
While that part of the country has had an abundance - WE have had none! So far!!!!
A dusting of snow is in the forecast for in the morning. We shall see.
This afternoon Maddie decided to claim her spot on top of the baby grand piano that 'lives' in our den! I keep a cover on to protect it from the dust.
Louis Dean and I were doing our reading when we heard THIS!
"Everybody snores at our house!!!"
But she is so pretty and sweet and we do love her so!!!
Hopefully, that's what Louis Dean says about ME!
I know that is what I think about HIM!!!
Just for the record, Lucy snores, too!!
Louis Dean tried to record her but she kept waking up!
I will close the journal entry for today - and I am just over the midnight mark! -
with this SWEET photo of our two SWEET little neighbor girls!
We were late in getting their Valentine bags to them due to our being under the weather.
Their voices are the ones that make such beautiful music as they laugh and talk and sing and play!
Our neighborhood is all the richer for these little girls and their devoted parents living here.
Beautiful photos as always, Linda. Oh, dear...antibiotics. I know that they do take care of infections but they also clear out all the good in your body so please make sure you eat very well. And yes, take them with food they can be very hard on the stomach and cause you to feel sick (I mean more sick that you feel now). I pray that they help to heal you and that you eat well and make sure that you keep putting good things into your body that antibiotics tend to clear out. Sending you a hug.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of sweet Maddie are so good! I am so glad you went to the doctor, now you should be well fast! Everyone here snores, too! Our house is in between, too. But Easter comes very early this year and soon I will be putting out bunnies and eggs!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are on the road to recovery! Keep resting ....your kitty is so sweet
ReplyDeleteSweet neighborhood gals!! Such delightful, charming faces.
ReplyDeleteAs for you dear Linda...I do hope you're feeling better today.
That taco salad sounds scrumptious.
Hey? It's still GREEN in my part of Texas.
Soo glad you went to the docs and hopefully now you'll be feeling much better soon. What sweet looking girls...I can sure see why they bring you such joy. Hope you have a good day today....keep resting!
ReplyDeleteWhat a long winter for the two of you! Continue to allow yourself that rest and time for restoration! Praying for you both to feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteTwo cutie pies that's for sure! Nothing like a smile.
ReplyDeleteHow glad I am to read that you visited the doctor and have some good meds for yourself. I know that you have turned the corner when you stop in for Mexican food. Hope that Louis Dean is feeling stronger every day, too. Must peek in at Amber's to see how the Bell Quads are doing.
Winter is long, but I know that we shall cross into spring one day. You'll get there long before we do and cheer us on!
Oh, I love brown...it's our November thing, but I decorate with quite a bit of it throughout the year. I can't go with too much white because, with all that is outside, it just makes inside feel too cold.
I live the pics if your home! Your outfit sounds very nice also! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope those antibiotics do the trick Linda. I love your brown crockery table setting, very pretty! X
ReplyDeleteLinda, I am glad you are on the road to recovery and got those meds. I laughed about your cute cat snoring. I love to come visit your blog so much. Blessings to all. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteGlad your dr appt went okay and you have some antibiotics to clear everything up. Texas is brown and we are white! Wanna trade colors? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteNow that I live in the Pacific Northwest in the Willamette Vally I no longer have a brown season in my world. I do hope you and Louis Dean won't rush full speed into full activity too quickly.
ReplyDeleteGlad you went to the dr. By the way, Maddie is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could wave a magic wand and it would instantly be Spring. I.am.so.ready. Sending get well wishes to both you and LD.
ReplyDeleteHope those meds kick those germs to the curb. You should be feeling better in a couple of days. If not, call the doctor back. Rest as much as you can. Take of you and the Mr. HUGS
ReplyDeleteGood thing you went to the Doctor hope you improve everyday:)
ReplyDeleteWhile your house is void of color let me clarify that... Bright, festive colors you house is always homey. I guess I never noticed this in-between change. Observant are I. glad to hear you're on the mend. and felt like eating.
