I love just about everything about a Sunday - except getting up early!!
We are going to have to get our act together about that soon!
Most older people get up early! Not us!
At any rate - we made it to church nearly on TIME!
Progress!
Harrison has been wanting to ride in MeeMaw's car and that's just what he did today!
He rode with us to Dickies BBQ where we enjoyed a family friendly lunch!
We take up quite a bit of room when we come.
Harrison came home with us and spent the rest of the day!!
We played a little and then took a good little nap together.
Just give him a bucket of cars to play with and he's happy!
I may be boasting but I'm so proud of him for learning to count to 10!
He chattered and played and enjoyed being the center of attention.
I popped us up some popcorn and we settled in to watch the Dallas Cowboys!!
I love his little feet! He sat in MY seat and I had to sit in the middle by Granddad!
I HAD to let him sit there because he said, "Excuse me, MeeMaw! I need to sit here!"
Manners win every time.
They were behind while we took a nap so Harrison and I had to cheer them on to victory!!!
He said, "You SCARED me, MeeMaw!!!"
Shortly after the game was over, Amber and Mike came by with the other three!
They brought chicken and we all ate in the den.
Little Trystan gets an EEG in the morning.
The test is more involved than I realized. It will take a couple of hours and then they must meet with the doctor after that. It will be a long day for them tomorrow. Thankfully the others will be in school.
Never a dull moment around here!!!
Everyone always smiles when the quads are around!
My organ is 31 years old. We are amazed it still works.
It gets dust inside so it was nice that the kids helped buzz some of that out!
Everyone had to take a turn.
Later Amber told them it had to 'recharge.'
Kids nowadays know all about recharging batteries!
They didn't stay very long. Tomorrow is an early morning for them.
Everyone was bundled up and they were gone in a wink!
The house was pretty quiet when we came back in.
Life has picked up again and we are in our first full week of the new year.
There's something invigorating about new beginnings.
Time to pack away the decorations and clean up the house.
I'll start tomorrow. No hurry. I will enjoy the process. It doesn't have to be done by a certain day.
I am ready to embrace all that 2015 will hold for us.
NOW!!!! How 'BOUT them COWBOYS?????
I didn't know an EEG was that involved. We certainly need Miss Tryston to get a good report! Harrison is a real keeper!
ReplyDeleteEEG's aren't too bad. Worse on the parents. Our son had several. We had to keep him awake all night. Well we did but what a nightmare driving him alone one hour to Children's. Pure child abuse....below freezing windows down and singly loudly. Do you know what they are looking for? Good luck and prayers.
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteWith all the projects you get into and all the progress you make I am surprised that you don't like getting up early. I used to be an early bird but not so much anymore, but I have always been punctual, at least this is what my bosses have told me over the years, and for this I am grateful.
I am keeping Trystan in my prayers. Sending you a hug.
Harrison is quite bright! He isn't just reciting numbers he is counting one by one. Wow! Prayers and good thoughts for Trystans tests. Please keep us all updated. I don't comment often but I read every single day. You and your family are so wonderful
ReplyDeleteOh no! I thought Trystan was done with her tests and they did not find anything! Please let us know how it went and what they say. Harrison is a smart boy! I love that cool ramp you have for his little cars! That will make for many happy hours of play.
ReplyDeleteHope the EEG is straightforward and that everyone copes with the hospital visit. Do please keep us updated X
ReplyDeleteAnother fun day wrapped up with a bow. We are praying that all goes very well with the EEG. Praying for the whole family because such things have everyone on pins and needles. Yet we know that we are never without a Rock to stand upon. Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteHubby was overjoyed the Cowboys won but he says the QB played a bad game and he better up it if they want to get to the super bowl.
ReplyDeletehow could you NOT smile around the quads... i love the photo of Harrison under the Christmas lights.
LInda, I love the film clips . Those little sweet feet . I used to tease that children's feet are like little boxes..as thick as they are long. I remember kissing my grandkids feet, at that age. Their little hands and feet. I am praying for good results with that eeg tomorrow. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteLinda, what a delightful Sunday! And a nap is always in order!
