My Tuesday!

Ruth Ann and I usually call or email each other late Monday afternoon as to our plans for Tuesday.
We both agree - Tuesdays are our FUN days!!!!
We first hit up the 'new' thrift store we shopped at last Tuesday and sure enough - I found some treasures!

This children's bench from IKEA was less than $5 with my senior discount!
Louis Dean has already cut a new piece of plywood to repair the seat and will paint it blue to go with the primary colors! Win! WIN!

Ruth Ann had a coupon for Applebee's - buy one luncheon combo - get one free!
(You can pull this coupon up on your phone - which is what I did. I'm still new at this!)
We had the best time catching up on things over lunch before we headed off to the movies!

This was what we saw and it was so funny!!!
No really bad language and no nudity.
Ruth Ann and I were both surprised at how good and funny it was!
Another WIN! for Tuesday!

From there we went straight to Goodwill where - wouldn't you know! - I found a few more treasures!!!

The grandquad girls will love this vanity! $7!
I even found that tiny percolator which will be perfect for my coffee when we camp this weekend!

A cool pair of Baby Phatt jeans.....

Plaque made from tin roofing.......

A BEAUTIFUL handmade quilt - again perfect for our camping trip!
PLUS I bought a very nice set of queen size sheets for our air mattress!

LOVED these Texas flag dishes!!! $3 for 11 pieces!

I set the extras in a basket I had out in the gazebo.

I love them!!

I bought six delicate plates from France....

I fell in love with these!!
Limoges from France.

Ruth Ann spotted these two pieces two isles away from where I found the others!!
Now I'm all set for a Ladies Tea for Two! I think I shall have Earl Grey tea and dainty cucumber sandwiches with sweet little lemon cookies!! Would you like to come?

Since I cleaned out some food from the freezer yesterday I threw together a very EASY but delicious quick supper for my art buddies! Chicken spaghetti! I just added some fresh cooked chicken and a jar of Alfredo sauce - heated it all up and dinner was served!

Here we are painting our cactus and bluebonnets!!

Here's what we've done so far!
We still have 2 or 3 more sessions to go.
It will  soon be time to start on this year's Santa painting!
This year is flying past!

I have got to jump into bed now and get to sleep as fast as I can!
Louis Dean is already there!
Tomorrow is Quadville Day and I can't wait!!!

  1. Another fun Tuesday. I can't believe how many great buys you get each week. That china for your tea party is beautiful!

I love the bluebonnet pictures. If only we lived closer I would be painting with you.

  2. What a fun Tuesday!!! That bench you bought the Quads is so cute. LD will have that looking like new in no time.

Applebees is my favorite. I LOVE the Blondies!!!!

You did good at Goodwill too. The jeans are so cute and those Flag Dishes are just adorable. I must admit though, that rose set is my favorite. Such a shabby chic pattern :)

Enjoy Quadville tomorrow. I know you love time with those babes!

  3. You are all such good painters! I love the dishes, and the quilt is beautiful!! I guess I shall have to make a trip to Goodwill. But honesty I just never find a thing there! My daughter-in-law informs me that there is one day that is better to go than others. The vanity is adorable, I always wanted one as a kid.

  4. How fun to spend the day with the girls just out relaxing and laughing (yes, Linda, I can hear your laughter through my laptop). Our local Goodwill Store is much smaller and only has two short aisles of goodies. I try to go there when I get to town but it is always a "wait your turn" to get down those short aisle. But we do have some good flea markets that I can usually find something to bring home and play with. The babies are growing so fast! Our grandson will celebrate his 2nd birthday this next week. I am at a loss to know what to get a boy (that he doesn't already have). I see lots of girl stuff, my girlfriend suggested a pet frog. Ugh!!

  5. You will have some of the best coffee camping when you use that perculator pot. I have one of these in our camper and it is some of the best coffee. I can find the filters to use in it at our local Kroger store. Your goodwill's have way more better stuff then ours. :) Sherri

  7. Look at those bargains! My favorite things are the Texas flag plates. Very cool for the camper! Yes, I'd love tea, but you'll need a big ole tea for all your friends...the dishes don't have to match! Have fun in Quadville!

  10. Love your Tuesday's...No one has more fun, or find such great deals than you! Love your Texas dishes and how you have them displayed. Also I love your French dishes as I have several cups and saucers and plates in that pattern. So sweet and delicate. I'm trying very hard to get over cold that found me after the wedding!!! Nice to be back home in my own bed...glad it's going with me when we move. HaHa.
