An Afternoon Walk, News About my Mother and Thursday.....

Yesterday as soon as we finished our morning coffee and reading time we were off to Quadville!

The babies are always so excited to see us! Kailey wasn't feeling well!

Granddad's lap is a favorite place to be in Quadville!!

A little lunch time fun!!

The quads are quick learners!!! They will be cleaning up after themselves in no time!

After naps we were off for a walk through the neighborhood!
Louis Dean got a good report from his cardiologist on Tuesday - but he WAS advised to exercise!

Twin strollers make for a much easier walk!! But it still counts as exercise!!

Louis Dean enjoyed the trees and landscaping.

We pushed two by two!

This was the tree that so fascinated LD!

It was a good day in Quadville!! Two of the babies had colds and Harrison is cutting a MEAN tooth but they all were in good moods regardless!

In news of my mother - Deanie has had a busy week!
Mother fell a couple of times last week and THIS week it caught up with her.
Deanie took her to the chiropractor one day, the doctor for x rays the next (NO broken bones or fractures!) and to have her nails done the next!!
I called Mother this afternoon and she is feeling MUCH better!!
She is STILL singing Deanie's praises!!!

Louis Dean and I enjoyed a nice day at home today. No make up, grungy clothes and a GREAT day!!
Louis Dean dug up some rose bushes in the front and we planted them behind the pond.
See that pretty fence? LD also planted some bushes along the side to the left and we are doing some other landscaping back there!

While HE worked outside - I worked INSIDE!! I cleaned, did laundry and BAKED!

These lemon bars are seriously delicious and I will be taking some to my mother's hairdresser tomorrow as well as leaving some at my sister's house!
I used to bake every day back when I had young people at home.
Normally I bake something to take to the doctor's office for our visits but have not done that lately since I was so sick. LD is planning on a HUGE cinnamon roll bake soon and we will make the rounds - with extras for his cardiologist and staff!

It's Thursday night. My house is clean. Some yard work has been done. Laundry is now put up. Clean sheets are on the bed. I have a glass of wine at hand and we are watching some of the  Olympics as we close out our evening. All is right in MY world!!

  1. Good post! Always enjoy y'alls Wednesdays with the babies...and ME! Very glad to hear Grandma didn't break anything and that she also appreciates all Aunt Deanie did for her. ;)

  2. I would definitely call that exercise. That is a very interesting tree trunk.
You quads darling as usual, and those lemon bars look fabulous. I must do that since I have plenty of lemons (neighbors tree). I bake about three times a week. I do the same taking goodies to the doctor's and others that we do business with. I made a lemon blackberry coffee cake that turned out real good from the "other" Linda's blog. Have a great weekend. Sending hugs and smiles.

  3. Phew! I'm glad that you mom is feeling better. She sure looks happy and her nails look beautiful. Always a scare when someone falls!

The quads look so happy to see LD. That will just bless John's socks off. The boys always gravitate to him, too, over me. Harummmpphhh... Ha!
