We had a BONUS day! It is a wonderful thing that the babies do not wake up early!!
I think it was 8:00 before WE got up! They were all still asleep so Louis Dean made a big breakfast for them!
He cooked so much you would have thought he was feeding teenagers!
There was enough for SEVERAL breakfasts!
While HE cooked I cleaned the play room up for the new day.
I placed all the play phones (except for the FAVORITE one - which I placed somewhere wondering just WHO would find it!) on the red cube! Two babies went for the phones - two went for the stack of books. Kailey found the GOOD phone! I asked Amber to go to Target for three more from Granddad and me.
This is the way the play room looked when we took them upstairs for naps.
This morning BEFORE they went to the play room we all gathered in the living room to explore and admire their Christmas tree.
The babies LOVE it!!
They can't do much damage with ONE finger!!
The kids are just so much fun to watch!!
Here's what they look like when we say it's time for LUNCH!!
What other quads do YOU know that eat peanut butter sandwiches while listening to LIVE music??
Kailey is crazy about zippers these days!!
To solve the problem of her taking hers off - over and over - I just put it on her backwards!
Worked like a charm! She looks good in a cowl neckline, don't you think?
After naps the quads had a snack at the table.
Afterwards we gave them the cell phones Amber picked up for us! She found three more in three DIFFERENT colors!
The box says age appropriate for 18 months - 5 years!
I'd say that's a pretty good investment in a toy!
Who knows? They may actually have REAL ones by then!!
From Facebook
I am starting to make some treats for the Ladies Cup of Christmas Tea I am hosting next week.
Yesterday it was the Ritz crackers......
today it was Christmas Crackers.
I won't be able to make these very often because they are SO good!!
1 sleeve of saltine crackers
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 bag chocolate chips
assorted toppings - M&M's, crushed pretzels, etc.
Lay out crackers in single layer on a well greased foil lined sheet pan.
Bring butter and brown sugar to a boil - stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes while stirring.
Pour over crackers and spread to cover.
Bake in 400* oven 5-6 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes. Top with chocolate chips. Spread with spatula to smooth after they have melted.
Top with broken pretzels or whatever.
I don't care that much for chocolate so I left half 'plain.'
Talk about YUM!!!
WHAT!!!!!!! You don't care that much about chocolate! How does that happen :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post, love the little cell phones for the kids! Fun times in Quadville!
Look at that Logan just pushing herself forward toward the tree. I love how you tell them "just one finger." They are such good kids.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas crackers sound so yummy. I'll have to try it.
Priceless kids!! And a priceless granny as well. Plus I simply adore LD's attitude - he definitevily is a champion. I used to play the classic guitar when a bit younger so do not count me in! ;)

Your adorable grandbabies are all growing up so fast and smart, Linda! I know how busy they keep you, but also how much you enjoy them. Thier Christmas tree is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJohn and I have enjoyed this post immensely. We are wondering if LD is teaching some Christmas carols. I think he must be.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm. I will be trying this recipe! The babies with their cell phones are just so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the babies aren't babies any more. What precious wee ones though, I love the concept of putting the jacket on backwards, good thinking! I love that LD plays the guitar for the children as they have their lunch, I'm sure they all love it as well.
