TOMORROW I will be back in business! The business of Life, that is!
As for TODAY - I took the day OFF!
My sister, Deanie, is very wise and once she has used up her current supply of energy - she takes a day to stay in bed! I lovingly say - I pulled a 'Deanie' today! I slept til after 9:00 this morning and was back in bed by 10:30. I would get up for awhile, put in a load of laundry, talk to Louis Dean - and then go BACK to bed. It was WONDERFUL! NO real work. NO cooking. NO projects.
Naps, reading, a little TV, Subway Sandwiches for dinner.
Easy Peasy day!
Louis Dean, on the other hand, accomplished quite a bit!
He moved the camper over where half of it now sits on the gravel bed he made.
This is a good thing since MiMi Camp is this month and I intend to host the grands in the RV!
He also went shopping!
Yesterday I dropped my Canon Power Shot camera in the water.
I loved that little red camera!!! Amber and Mike gave it to me after the quads were born. They were tired of all my pictures being blurry! ( I actually think I look better blurry but I seldom take pics of myself!)
Louis Dean went out to buy a new one for me while I was taking one of my many naps today!
It is simply a newer version of the one I had - but it is silver!
I am going to let the quads play with my old one now! They loved it so! Whenever they saw me take it out - here they came!!
It's not even 10:00 but in keeping with a day of rest - I am going to bed now.
Tomorrow will be another adventure as my oldest son is bringing Faith and Levi over in the morning.
They will be going with me to see Mother and she is already so excited. I don't think she has even SEEN them this year!!! We will have fun whatever we decide to do....in spite of the summer temps now topping the 100 degree mark!
Isn't it amazing what a little REST will do for us???
I should try this more often!
Hi Linda, so glad you had a restful day! We all need those to rejuvenate and relax. So sorry to hear about your camera dropping in the water, but your new one looks really nice!
ReplyDeleteYou should at least take a day a month to recharge!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love days when I don't have ANYTHING I HAVE to do! It's just wonderful. I can sleep as long as I want..I can read, watch movies..and like you..subway sandwiches for dinner! Isn't life grand??
ReplyDeleteYour sister is very wise. I take days off about once a week. That's about how long my energy lasts. My sister doesn't understand this, but I'm glad someone does.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your new camera. I know the quad will have a good time with your old one.
Glad to hear LD was so productive. I'm looking forward to see what you do in Mimi camp.
I think I should do the very same thing!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time with everyone, I'm sure it'll be a fun, fruitful day.
Linda, I dream of days like that LOL. Hope you are rested up for the g.kids visit. Glad your mom is going to see them also. LD is a keeper, girl. Enjoy your weekend. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI take days like that sometimes, but always feel guilty...I think I'll stop feeling guilty.
ReplyDeleteYay for a new camera. How fun! How long will it be before the quads want the silver one? ; D
you play hard and you rest hard, i'm not sure if i could do that!!
ReplyDeletesweet of ld to replace that camera for you. i have the same one, in purple of course!!
Sounds like a restful day, a day to rest the body and the mind. I love a day like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd do for a day like that! Sounds wonderful. I know I'll reach the season in my life that it will be possible & I'm waiting patiently.
ReplyDeleteMy two little ones LOVE my camera too. I bet that will be the best "toy" the quads received to date!
I like Deanie Day! Smart gal.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I can get by with that. hmmmm
Glad you got to take one and just relax.
What a sweet man. Going out and buying that camera for you
