Saturday Summer threw an all day and into the night Arts and Crafting Party!
We all had a BALL! Most of the ladies did Scrap Booking.
That is an ART in and of itself!
Sabrina had an art table set up for us and we PAINTED!
All afternoon we painting!
I based in this 16 X 20.
Two more sessions before it is finished.
This one is mine.......
This one is Sabrina's.
Pretty cool, huh?
She painted a larger canvas than I did so......
I worked on my bowl of lemons.
It was a lot of fun to be with such a talented group of ladies.
And the FOOD!!! Oh, the FOOD!!!
Have you ever tasted Pecan Pie Brownies??
Saturday night Amber and I took in a movie!
It was really REALLY good!!
I adore Russell Crowe's voice and Kevin Costner is one of my favorite actors as is Diane Lane.
Today as soon as church was over we picked up Subway Sandwiches for our lunch and went to see the quads.
This is from MY camera!
We had the BEST time with them! Louis Dean took his good camera and got some great pictures!
Like this one!
He took 410 pictures!
Priceless!
They will NEVER be this age again!
We THINK we will remember the way they look.....
but we won't!
So it's a GOOD thing to have lots and lots of pictures!
Did I mention what a good time we had with the babies?
This is Trystan's STERN look!
They kept us entertained every single minute!
Ah.....
What can I say?
I took a toy drum filled with other fun music toys to play with today.
(Garage sale for $2! Plus one hour of scrubbing them spotlessly clean!)
They loved them!
Trystan is the drummer!
Harrison loved this pink shaker thing and carried it around all afternoon!
They were all playing something!!
Granddad is getting his BAND!
They ALL are budding musicians - according to their granddad!
Today was extra special because our daughter in law, Sherry, came to meet the quads for the very first time!
Louis Dean caught Kailey pulling Harrison's hair with MY camera!
Poor Guy! To be fair, Harrison has done HIS fair share of hair pulling as well!
It was fun sharing the quads, whom we love dearly, with someone else we dearly love!
Sherry is the kind of person who pitches right in and helps!
She was pretty impressed with the babies as well as their schedule!
We put them down for a nap at 2:00 and 5 minutes later they were asleep!
They eat, drink, pee, poop, play, smile, nap and sleep like champs!
When we left tonight they were in bed fast asleep shortly after 7:00.
I tell you what! Amber knows how to mother quadruplets!
WE had a good time with the babies and Amber and Mike enjoyed a few hours away.
Win! WIN!!
Oh Linda... hubby and I enjoyed this post... hubby loves to see granddad with the babies:)).... you are a special couple!!
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are so beautiful. Wish I could afford one! I will never tire of looking at pictures of the quads. What will they think when they can roam without the barriers? I so hope their new house is not very far from yours so you can see the often.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful day. Fun was had by all. The babies are growing up so fast, leaps and bounds. Love your paintings. The best weekend.

They are soooooooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteI am so loving watching them grow. They are adorable. What a blessing they are to have grandparents like you.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, you do need so many pictures! To fully, fully, fully remember!
ReplyDeleteAnd you have great ones. :-)))))))))))))
Always fun to see the quads and those who love them so. We sure do enjoy seeing them having so much fun. Your paintings are wonderful...the rainy day umbrellas and the bowl of lemons both make me feel cooler looking at them.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE your umbrella painting!! What will you be doing with it? The quads and their parents are so blessed that you live near enough to come by for visits and to help out. WOW to the fact that she can get them all asleep at the same time and for so long!! And GREAT pictures of them! I see they have already formed a band at such a young age, thanks to you!
ReplyDeleteAwwww....I love this post, Linda. I absolutely love rain paintings, so this umbrella painting really resonates with me. Love your photos!
