It's been a slow easy Sunday here. Louis Dean and I continued in 'Rest' mode and have done little but watch old movies on TV. Neither of us had seen 'A Few Good Men' before! Louis Dean had not seen 'The Fugitive' - the one with Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford. Then I can't count the number of NCIS episodes we've watched. There was a Mark Harman marathon on this weekend!
I've been looking back at the Marches of the last few years.
This is from March 24, 2010.
Exactly four years ago!
Looks like pretty 'springy' weather!
However, just 3 days before we had an unexpected spring snow!
March weather is always unpredictable!
This from March 24, 2011.
March 2011 was when we adopted our little Maggie.
Her name was Magenta - but we think Maggie fits her better!
March 2012 found us just starting the camper rehab!
This place was a real mess!
At this point we were simply clearing it all out!
That whole end window wall plus a good bit of the floor had to be redone.
Repairing and getting this camper ready to live in was THE hardest chore!
March 24, 2012 Amber was just 2 weeks away from what proved to be a 57 day hospital stay.
But we DID manage to turn the RV into a cozy, comfy camper home!
It has made all the difference in the world and has enabled us to spend MONTHS down here helping Amber and Mike with the quadruplets!
The little things like lace and candles and pretty boxes have made it seem more like home.
We have come a long way!
Hard to believe our job here is nearly over!
I just love your RV, it looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWill you miss living in it, Linda?
What abundance with the Easter eggs! I love that look. So much better than what I do...skimpy divided by five. Ha!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, you have really made your home away from home adorable. I only worried about you when you would say how cold it was. Other than that, I thought of the two of you being as snug as two bugs in a rug. You are a natural homemaker!
Hope that everything is rolling right along and heading for the goal. You sure have been a Godsend for Amber and Mike and the Quads.
it has been quite a ride for you hasn't it...so happy everyone's coming back to Big D...
ReplyDeleteYou and Louis Dean are STARS. The wee ones will never, ever forget the sound of your voices or the feel of your arms. What you have given your family is the best gift of all YOU TWO and time.
ReplyDeleteYou are both an inspiration.
You have been on quite the journey with lots of changes... to be continued yes you are both an inspiration. Bless you and yours!
ReplyDeleteHow time flies! I like looking back too. Nice memories. It doesn't seem like all that long ago you were fixing up your camper and here in less than a week you will be coming home. Enjoy your time while you are there. What a life adventure you have had.
ReplyDeleteWow what changes in that RV... It is such a cozy place. You have such a knack for decorating!! I don't know where you get your energy from!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just amazing how our lives change in just the matter of a years time. Your journey there might be almost over but your quad journey is far from over. You still have so many blessings yet to come :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a ride it has been, filled with many ups and down, but oooh the quads were well worth it.
ReplyDeleteYou and LD are the greatest, I look forward to your adventures once home.
Take care, and safe travels.
So cool a looking-back post!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHard to say who was blessed more...grandparents, grandkids or kids but no matter it has all been good.
