Friday was the first of our four 'STAY-CATION' days!
We had PLANNED to go to San Antonio but plans change and we are happy to be resting for several days.
We are enjoying the comforts of our RV Resort and using our time to do a few things around here.
We have had a bit of trouble with the fan and/or A/C unit on our camper.
What it finally boiled down to was easily repaired by my Handy Dandy Hubby!
It DID require a new A/C 'shroud.'
We were off to Camping World!
Wow! They had so many new models OPEN and inviting us to come right in and look around!
Oh, MY!!!
I never dreamed CAMPERS could look like THIS!!!
Or THIS!!
There are MANY of these classy models in our RV park and I have SO wanted to know what they looked like on the IN side!!!
This one features sliding doors opening onto a covered porch with benches and balcony railing!
Just imagine! WALKING in a camper bedroom!!
And the BATHROOMS!! Amazing!
Even EXTRA ones!!
Kitchens, TOO!!
The new ones have all sorts of accessories!
After our 'tour' we got down to business........
bought our A/C Shroud ( who would have ever thought of that description?) and headed home!
One new shroud......
hauled up and put in place!
Louis Dean and I took Lucy for a walk -
all the way towards the front of the park where the dumpsters are located.
We deposited the OLD one and we were DONE!!
Our Friday night treat was dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant!
I had a 'Dear Diary' moment here. As I was going into the ladies room a little boy (who was young enough that he was in there with his mom) held the door open for me. I smiled at him and as I entered my stall I could hear him say, "Hey, Mommy!!! I held the door open for an old lady!!"
I'm still surprised to find myself described as 'an old lady!'
I guess that's what happens if you live long enough!!
LOL... isn't it funny that we don't feel old...and we never will!!! So you weren't tempted to buy a new camper:)
ReplyDeleteNo way!!!

DeleteBeautiful campers! I love the one with the fireplace. You may not have been tempted to move on up, but I would be.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the little boy's remark. I guess if we live long enough we will all be "old" even that little boy someday.
i am constanly surprised that i am old and so is my handy dandy hubby. he said one day in traffic, look at that old man, he needs to learn to drive, then we both laughed and he said, i think he is younger than me... I think God gave us the ability to not feel old so we can be happy in our later years... i could easy live in one of these RV year round. bigger and better than our house
ReplyDeleteforgot to say they cost more than our house
ReplyDelete"...for the old lady."
ReplyDeleteYOU, being so cute and not-old-lady-looking!
Oh my! Wonder what he'd have said (in all his childhood innocence) if he held the door for ME?!? -gigggles-
Awwww, that is the sweetest part of a very sweet post, about your stay-cation. :-)
And wow, what campers/trailers!!!! Woot!!!!!!!!
I'm in love with the campers. I'll even admit the one with the wet bar was my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteYou don't look like an "old lady" to me, my dear. Quite the contrary.
ReplyDeleteThose campers are bigger than my entire house. Hmmmm...maybe we should sell, buy a camper, and head for Texas. =D
I am glad you got your fixed - but I have to say that I loved that first one - phew. sandie
ReplyDeleteLOL the mother was probably horrified and wished she could disappeared.
ReplyDeleteIf we only had the money for those RV's lol
