A Routine Day in Quadville!

The main thing I look forward to every morning is seeing these little babies!

Louis Dean specializes in HOLDING babies!!
He is VERY good at it!!

I like seeing how they are dressed each day.

They have SO many cute clothes!
The babies are now in the 0-3 size - a far cry from the preemies that were at one time HUGE on them! They all have little rolls of baby fat now and I love that!

Trystan is the smallest at 8 lbs 4 oz.
Kailey is 9 lb 7 1/2 oz.
Harrison maintains the lead at 9 lbs 10 oz.
Logan and Kailey have been weighing in at the same weight for a couple of weeks now.
They WEIGH the same but their body types are very different.

I gaze at them while feeding and wonder what these little people will be like.
They already have distinctive personalities.

I go over to Amber and Mike's every morning and Louis Dean follows later.
He's been doing some work around the camper and I am proud to announce we now have HOT WATER!!!! YAY!
We have had a problem with teeny tiny fire ants. I was bitten Sunday and just recovered from that episode when we found more this morning.
They are NOT in the camper but on the patio where we sit with our morning coffee and evening wine. I had left Lucy's dog food out last night and they were crawling all over it! Taking care of this and trying to get the water system set up at the camper has kept Louis Dean comfortably busy.

I stay busy changing diapers, feeding and burping babies, helping with the laundry and doing our OWN laundry while I'm over here. The days go by quickly! I have yet to feel time drag. There's always SOMETHING to do. I stitch on my needlework and have a tub of denim to whack up for a 4 X 4 foot square denim quilt to use under the play mats.

I go back to the camper after Mike gets home from work UNLESS we have a special evening planned. Last night was the opening season for the Dallas Cowboys!

Mike brought in a big bag of FIVE GUYS burgers and we gathered round the TV to watch the game. It was fun like a party!
There's always something going on around here!

Today is now done and I am heading back to the RV park.
I prepared dinner earlier and it is in the fridge ready to heat up.
Dishes can even be done tonight in HOT water!!
But first there will be some time spent out on the patio sipping an evening glass of wine and watching the sun set!
Thus ends a routine day in Quadville!

  2. I'm addicted to your posts!! Having found you through your daughter's blog,I have just enjoyed your adventures, activities, etc. I look forward to my evening "fix" and am really disappointed if there isn't a new post.

I adore your babies!! They are really chunking up and look sooooo adorable! You ARE blessed!!

I also love the pictures of grandpa holding the babies! I know how he feels as that is one of my favorite things to do in all the world--holding a little baby.

I went back to the beginning of your blog hoping to read something of how you met, the circumstances, etc. I think you are a great pair and so suited to each other. I like the patience you have with all of the building, etc.

What a special time in your lives!! Aren't you s-o-o thankful that you are able to minister to your kids in this very special way!!

    God is good...all the time.

Blessings from a OLD gramma in Portland, Oregon who would love to have the energy you have!

  4. They've got such adorable expressions today that I see thought bubbles above their heads. So cute it's not even funny. And there's always a baby for holding isn't there?! (I remember the year that my son and daughter-in-law announced while holding their first baby that there would be a second next year. My niece quipped, "Oh good, there'll be a baby and a spare." It's even better at Mike and Amber's!)

Oh those fire ants...I hope that you didn't have a horrible reaction to them and that you can get it under control. Does your RV landlord take care of that for you?

  6. They are thriving! This is the best part! :-)

Eeek, fire ants. I remember them, from time visiting in FL. Never experienced them but "Grand" did, and I know it's awful.

Glad LD has to-do-stuff-around-the-camper, to keep him busy. He seems to be a guy who really NEEDS to have to-do-stuff. I know, I have one of those guys, too. :-)

    Gentle hugs,
    "Auntie"

  7. They are doing amazing...those quads! I keep thinking of the twin boys my sister adopted so long ago...who came to her at 6 months old. One was 8 pounds and the other was 5 pounds. They were struggling...but they thrived once they were in her care. Enjoy your time in Quadville...where they are plenty of cuddles to go around.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is now in our town...but haven't tried them out yet. Are they as fabulous as I hear?
