Harrison Update and Camper Progress!

First of all let me share the newest news about Harrison! He is doing very well!
Here's the latest from Amber:

"Holding Harrison for the first time. He was so calm and quiet.
I'm in love with this little man."

"After 15 days and one tough fight, I finally got to hold my baby boy for the first time!!!! Tears of happiness and relief to have Harrison in my arms...."

Trystan napping in Mama's arms......

I would have added a picture of Logan but it was a video and I can't figure out how to 'share' that one!

The babies doing so well really motivated us to get on with our camper redo!
Since we woke up to a Texas thunderstorm in the wee hours of the morning I decided against doing the yard. Will wait til tomorrow for THAT job!

So while Louis Dean worked at one end of the camper - doing the hardest most complicated job - I decided to transform the bedroom.

My 'inspiration' came from leftover wallpaper from our bedroom and a piece of soft sage green fabric I picked up at Garden Ridge Pottery down in Houston.
I love the soft restful look of green. I bought the pillows earlier this spring at Stein Mart.

Forgot the 'before' pic - I'd already started with the paper!

You can see what a difference it made!
I am LOVING it!!

I used the fabric to cover this window......will need to buy new blinds and then I'll make a proper window covering. For now I just stapled it over the window.
(My neighbor's driveway is right THERE!!)

THIS wall is going to need some help - from LD.
Since it is ugly I covered it up with a quilt.
Quilts cover a lot!

We put in a good day of work out there!
Step by step......we'll get there!

  1. How wonderful and exciting and jumping-up-and-down joy. Sooo glad he is doing so well.

I need to spend a little time and read more of your posts. We've been so busy with yard work, redoing 2 rooms and LIFE, I have fallen so far behind in my visiting.
    Hugs, bj

Yes, the green does look very nice and restful. Hope that you have fun with your project, though I'm thinking LD might not be having as much fun as you are.

  10. Such great news. And how lovely to see Amber holding the babies skin-to-skin. That is so beneficial for them to have that contact and to hear their Mum's (and Dad's) heartbeat.

Your colour scheming is amazing. How about a trip to Edinburgh once you have time - you can do a makeover on my house any day!
