On to the Next Phase!

Amber and Mike left this morning for the hospital. On to the next phase!!!

I must admit........I teared up a bit as they pulled away!

Then I got to work! Due to our extended stay I am scrambling to get enough meds to tide us over! I swear I need to be a rocket scientist just to keep up with our prescriptions!

While waiting for meds (which we have yet to get!) we shopped at the nearby Garden Ridge Pottery for fabrics to cover the camper cushions.
We are going with different greens and browns.
The border I am using for the camper is from Thomas Kincaid and means all the more to me in light of his recent death. He was indeed 'The Painter of LIGHT!'
I intend to put up some of that border in the cleaned kitchen area as soon as we get home!

Tired of waiting for refills to be approved we headed back to the house and I baked chocolate chip cookies. When in doubt - BAKE! I'll take enough for Amber as well as some to share with the nurses tomorrow!

There was plenty to do! Doggie treats in the afternoon. They LOVE bananas!
Louis Dean took 72 pictures! He said, "Amber will want to SEE her dogs!!"
If we are Facebook friends.......just fast click all those pics and it looks like a video!

Treats are followed by playtime......
Lucy is loving it here!

Louis Dean is never at a loss in entertaining himself.
He serenaded me - and the neighbors - from his cozy little music station in the garage this afternoon!
That pink and yellow felt bundle is his new set of penny whistles.
Can you see the Shiner Bock box on the left?

This is Amber sitting pretty in the hospital........
she is TRUSTING God every step of the way.......
she LOVES her doctor and prays for him every day!
She KNOWS this is the best place to be for her and the babies!

But it is not all peaches and cream!
They have started the mag IV and she is in for a few rough days.
Hopefully she will be feeling better by the weekend.
Mike or I will be with her.
I KNOW she is expecting quads!
I KNOW she is 26 years old!
I also know she is still my little girl and I am so happy I can be here for her!

I am closing this post with my favorite pick of the day.....
Amber and Mike! I love the way they look at each other.
No matter what - they will make it!!! Together.

  1. Okay two questions - is she in the hospital until the babies are born - are you there now for good?
And I think my sister took that IV med when she had her twins.

I am glad to know others take meds too - I have a lot - lol.

  2. I know it's tough to be in the hospital, but it's the best thing for her. I hope you get the situation with your medications sorted out. How long are you going to be there?

  7. Following on 'Chatty Crone's' questions... I think Amber is in the hospital, until the birth now.

But I don't think that you and LD are there, "for good" now.

Best of luck with the Rx straightening out. Same here, so many meds. But if they keep us perking-along, 'tis fine.

    Hugs all round...

  11. Linda I just got goosebumps reading your blog, this is all happening so fast! I want to go and give Amber a huge hug, she's not only beautiful, she's extremely brave as well. Trusting in God is the only way to go as far as I can tell, everything is in His loving hands.

I can feel the love your daughter and her husband share, the feelings are evident in the photos!

All the best to each one of you!
