It is a misty moisty WARM morning here in North Texas!! We have the French doors open and the attic fan on. Louis Dean and I sat out in the gazebo last night as the rain began to fall. Tornado warnings were out and Oklahoma had already seen some pretty stormy weather! I LOVE weather! Rain is nearly ALWAYS welcome in my world!
Yesterday was such a good Monday! I had an early morning appointment for my annual check up. As in REALLY early!! I sweetened my visit by bringing a dozen fresh baked spiced pumpkin muffins for the doctor and staff. This reminds me now I need to take a copy of the recipe up there this afternoon. They were a huge hit! I got a good report and had even lost 5 pounds!! SWEET!
Monday was also a productive day - especially since I had such an early start on it!
Louis Dean's bathroom also serves as the guest bath - and since I am having a ladies lunch tomorrow - and since I had left it BARE BONES in his honor until now - I swooped in and added some fall touches. I WOULD say he will never notice - but he DID!! When we were first married I decorated this bath as I did the rest of my house.
It was crammed FULL of seasonal decorations. Bless his heart. He has the patience of Job and usually I keep the debris in here to a minimum. I think it now looks warm and cozy and what could possibly be wrong with THAT??
I also hung a heavy cream velour 'Privacy Curtain' on my bathroom.
I am LOVING it!!
I accomplished a good bit yesterday - even cleaned out a couple of closets.
I 'found' this vintage Gucci bag in one of them and plan to take it as a little make up carry all on an upcoming trip. I bought this in Huntington Beach, CA at a little thrift shop back in 2000. It is in really good condition so I should use it more.
This faux fur cover at the foot of our bed is HEAVY and perfect for sleeping under when the nights are cold. Unfortunately last night was NOT one of them! We slept with the back door open and the ceiling AND attic fans on! I bought this great cover for just $9.99 at a local thrift store a few years ago.
We wore ourselves to a frazzle by days end! Louis Dean working outside and I working IN! We usually spend some time in the den before going to bed. We either watch a recorded TV program or sometimes just sit. Maggie loves attention - don't we ALL?
We are pretty crazy about her.......
She is a 'Senior for Seniors' cat.....six years old..... her owners moved and couldn't take her with them. We have had her since May and have enjoyed her SO much!!
Sweet Little Maggie!!
