Since he was released from the hospital this week he has been on new blood pressure medication which makes him feel a little light headed. The best thing for him to do right now is keep John Wayne company!
He saw the 'counterfeit' version (as he calls it!) of True Grit and loves to point out the 'GOOD ACTING' in the original. He knows the dialog by heart!
While he was transfixed by the film I prepared him a heart healthy breakfast of oatmeal, turkey bacon, wheat toast and orange juice to go with his ever present cup of coffee!
He is now on to his SECOND John Wayne movie of the day.
At least I know where he is!!
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.
John Wayne
what better way to recouperate than with the Duke...I love John Wayne...so do both my kids...most of their friends don't even know who he is...they are missing out...
ReplyDeleteGood for the both of you!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd since you are on a journey, to more healthy eating, that could be a side-trip on your blog.
Like when you find a particularly delicious but healthy-too recipe... Or some book which is helping you with this quest... Or a link to some Net site.... Perhaps you could put the Post Label on it, of .... Healthy Eating maybe?
You know, when you are composing a post, down at the bottom right of the compose box, is a box called LABELS. We make our own Labels for our posts. Like posts about traveling could be under "Travel" and posts about house re-doing could be under "Renovation" and posts about family gatherings could be under "Family," etc.
Do you Label your posts? If you do, readers can click on whatever Labels you put on each post, and go read other posts of yours, on the same topic. :-)

Glad to see LD back on his home turf!
ReplyDeleteHe looks and comfortable! And why wouldn't he be, with a cute blonde wife cooking him good wife and keeping him company! :)
ReplyDeleteI missed the post about your dear LD's surgery. Thank heavens you knew the signs and got him to the hospital in time for the angels to work their miracles. Take good care of yourself too!
