These are very simple and easy to make although they can be a bit messy! I usually make about 2 dozen at a time for this reason. Use a latex sealant making sure it is CLEAR and NON FLAMMABLE! You can push the entire contents of the tube out in a throw away container and then take each bulb and dip them in swirling the top as you pull it out like a Dairy Queen ice cream cone! Lay on a waxed paper tray to dry. This time I used a caulking gun and just squeezed the sealant onto the bulb twirling it as I went. Either way works. It can take up to 48 hours to dry clear and they are ready to use!
These also make great littlte gifts and you can find the small electric candles everywhere now...from Tuesday Morning to The Dollar Store to Big Lots.
It takes me about 15 minutes every morning and every evening to turn off my 'Thousand Points of Light'.....and I often think of this verse in Psalms.....
Psalm 65:8 ~ Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. ~
I remember when you first started making those - as I kid I wondered if the sticky stuff was edible!!
ReplyDeleteThere's no wondering where my creative genes come from. Glad you find so much happiness in your home, as you always have.
Cool idea!
