Good Morning, Texas! It’s Friday, September 18th, and summer has officially stopped pretending it plans to leave peacefully. The Panhandle starts near 70 before warming into the low 90s, with a possible evening storm just to keep the patio furniture nervous. West Texas will see clouds, mid 90s and a few scattered storms around El Paso. North Texas and parts of East Texas are headed right back toward 100, because Dallas and Tyler apparently found September’s thermostat and turned it to “July with school traffic.” Central Texas and the Hill Country will climb into the upper 90s under mostly sunny skies, while South Texas settles into the mid 90s with enough sunshine to make every parked vehicle feel like it has been preheating since breakfast. Houston and the Gulf Coast will reach the mid 90s, with a stray morning shower possible near the Coastal Bend before the sun resumes regular business. By evening, most areas will slowly fall through the 80s, which sounds pleasant until you remember that 89 degrees after sunset is still just daytime wearing pajamas. Fall remains somewhere north of here, probably reading our messages and choosing not to respond.

I am so excited!!!
It's been a quiet week here.
I woke up sick last Friday and am still coughing and hacking a full week later!
No measureable rain on 60+ days and still triple digits here in North Central Texas.
Ragweed and pollen are wrecking havoc on our respiratory systems!
Simple meals...
Salmon Croquettes
Garlic Green Beans
Company Potatoes
The heat continues but the cats don't seem to mind.
My art table is still out and will be for the next month or more.
It's nice to do two canvasses at a time so they can dry in between.
I'm still loving all my fall debris!

ReplyDeleteHope you all have a wonderful vacation at the beach. The heat and drought this summer have been relentless. We woke up to temperatures in the 60’s yesterday morning so fall is on the way, now if we could just get much needed rain. Praying you feel better. RHill, TX

Yes, we are on fall watch here too in Florida. Little by little it's showing signs of making an appearance later this week...well at least our variety of fall...lows in the low 70's and highs in the mid 80's. I'll take it! I'm so happy you are getting away for alittle vacation at the beach! That sounds like SO much fun! That house will be tilting on the sand with so many people and fun stuff going on! I hope you are feeling 100% better by then so you can really enjoy it! Praying!! Happy days are here again! Take care and God bless you richly.
