I absolutely love my Saturday dinner and movie nights with Ilene!
Hopefully more lady friends will join us from time to time.
Our movie of choice was an excellent one!
I enjoy thinking of menus for Saturday...
Louis Dean shopped with me recently and bought a LOT of cucumbers.
I tried a new recipe and it was okay but not my favorite.
Fresh pineapple and chicken and dressing was also on the menu.
I promised my doctor I would schedule some respite time for myself and I am committed to keeping my Tuesdays with Brenda.
I can keep an eye on Louis Dean by way of my RING cameras which is a real blessing.
I left home at 1:00 and returned shortly after 4:00 and I enjoyed every minute!
Brenda and I spent two hours together shopping both Texas Thrift and Thrift Giant as well as a stop for a bite to eat at Whataburger.
Brenda is my own personal shopper and she has an eye for my style and my size!
She put this outfit together for me from the two stores.
She paired the short summer dress with a Chico white top and a beautiful - what do you call them? Whatever it is - it goes perfectly! I may cut the sleeves down and roll them up with a pretty white or yellow button to bunch it up.
Brenda also found this outdoor cushion for me!
Brand new for around $5 with my senior discount.
Now I do not NEED any more summer dresses but I scored on several.
I continue to purge my closet so I didn't feel guilty about buying them.
I'm sure to wear these all summer long with a camisole underneath.
Brenda also found this Chico top and I love it!
This will probably be my favorite for the summer!
This dress was brand new and only $5!
In the den I have decorated a large closet door with movie and popcorn signs.
Brenda put this one in her basket knowing I would love it!
Brand new faux flowers that fit right in the hole of our driveway table.
I keep tissues in several rooms and the containers make them look pretty.
I found this brand new journal and bought it with purpose.
I admit that I have struggled with depression and have lost myself to caregiving and auffered the consequences.
I intend to use this book to track my actions, plans, and attitudes as I am purposely planning time to take care of me as well as of Louis Dean.
My first assignment is to list things that make me smile and I'm looking forward to writing them all down in the morning. I have been blessed with so many things that make me smile and brings me joy.
This pretty pink Christmas arrangement will be reworked with extra pink poinsettias and I'll use it on the coffee table in the living room.
I'm planning on a Santa wall that will include the pink Santa I will be painting.
I'm a sucker for all sunflowers!
A brand new candle in a recyled wine bottle.
I do love the candles......
I'll save this one for September first.
My photo does not do this food safe plate that I bought for just $1!
Brenda found two great night lights - one for her and one for me.
I'll use this one in the sewing room.
My dear beautiful daughter turned 41 on June 6th!
I was 36 years old when she was born and I have loved being her mother.
"For this child I prayed...."
The 'new' has never worn off and it never will.
Mike took her out to Nick and Sam's for a true celebration!
Happy Birthday to my darling daughter!!!!
And I am so proud of both Amber and her strong and steadfast in the faith husband, Mike!
Amber and Mike both look so good! You couldn't have dreamt up a better couple!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend; give yourself plenty of breaks, and play with your kitty cats! Let your hubby sing and play his guitar, and rearrange his "stuff".
Sending big, warm hugs--although it is already hot up our way! Pretend it's cold, like Christmas. You got such a great haul---it looked like Christmas, even with the pretty, summer clothes.
I'm so thankful for Ilene, Brenda and Shirley and all your online pals. Me included---I love this blog!
Happy Birthday to Amber. Her birthday is right between my sons and my daughters.
ReplyDeleteLove all your thrift store finds. The summer dresses are awesome. I love dresses but when I put them on I just hate the way they look on me.
