We have enjoyed this last weekend of November.
Ilene came for movie and dinner Saturday and we wiped out the last of the leftovers.
Even our possums had a Thanksgiving Feast this year!
It's been a cold winter type day here and we spent much of it in front of the fireplace watching football.
I'm working on Christmas cards and still decorating.
I did get the kitchen all clean and dressed up and will finish the laundry room tonight.
We came home with a gallon bag full of mac and cheese from Thanksgiving and I embellish it a bit with extra cheese and peppers.
Louis Dean asked me if I would make cornbread for him and I had a plastic bag with all the dry ingredients for a double batch and it's in the oven now.
I'll put some beans in to soak and cook them tomorrow.
Good cold weather comfort food!
I'll draw the winner for this year's Santa painting tomorrow afternoon when we get back from the doctor appointment for Louis Dean and I will get it in the mail as soon as I can!
Merry Christmas!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM MY HOUSE TO YOURS.
ReplyDeletePrayers always for doc appt.Brenda
ReplyDeleteLet me know how his appointment went.
ReplyDeleteAdd some mashed potatoes, garlic bread and rice pilaf to the stuffing with mac -n-cheese, and you've got a well balanced meal there
ReplyDeleteThe mac and cheese looks good. Nothing like comfort food on a cold day
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed seeing your Thanksgiving Day photos...it all looked wonderful...I am storing the fall decor away and at the same time bringing out Christmas....so cold so it feels like the holidays!
ReplyDeletesounds good to me, the food I mean, I need to add make cornbread to my to do list for today, I have already done 4 hours of hard labor and its only 8:39 and I have collapsed with laptop to rest before I start the daily list
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you & your family! Meme
